Elvis lord: part 2

I ignore the message and watch all of their movements carefully.

They feed off mistakes caused by fear.

"I can't be shaking at a time like this; you're a lord," I say to calm myself.

They started slowly surrounding me in a way that would cause a normal person to hesitate. My hand still shook slightly, but I clenched my fist hard and ran at the one I kicked with full speed.

Slightly shocked, he takes a step back, holding his two daggers up for defense, while another runs off to my side, throwing a dagger at me. This time more calm, I think of my next move.

I roll underneath the dagger and slash upwards towards the goblin in front of me; he responds with a downward slash. Our blades practically slide off each other, and my hand continues with the upward motion, leaving my chest exposed. Immediately, it attempts to give distance and deal some damage by kicking me in the chest.

The armor again bailed me out of the damage. I used all the strength in my legs to ensure I stayed on that spot, and the goblin seemed even more shocked. Determined, I swung my sword at his throat, but from both sides, I saw two goblins lunging at me with long wooden spears that were sharp-tipped, aiming for my arm and neck.

The thought of being stabbed to death crossed my mind for the first time, and I panicked again. To get out of the situation, I performed a handspring backwards, and while on my hands, I saw that there were two more behind me with spears.

I then use all my strength again to propel myself over them and land safely behind them. Taking a deep breath, I walk backwards for a few meters.

I still feel like I have a lot of stamina left, so I should be fine for now, but how do I pick them off if they attack me when I single out any of them?

Let's use the string, then I slowly reach into my pouch with one hand while holding my sword in the other. They are hesitant, probably because I'm physically stronger, but that won't last for long.

After what felt like an eternity, I find the string in the pouch and link one end of it to the handle of my sword, then give it about a ten-meter space before wrapping the rest around my arm.

Before I can finish up, the four spear goblins are throwing daggers at me, and there isn't much space behind me to dodge right now.

I decide to just forget about finishing up and charge them so that the trajectory will be off. I can't keep running away.

I'll let any attack not aimed at my head or arms hit and just deflect the rest.

Once I have run underneath the daggers, the four spear goblins charge me, spear tips at the ready, while the goblin with the daggers at the back picks up stones around him and starts launching them randomly in my direction. I ignore them since they are most likely there to make me panic again.

I maintain my focus on the spears rather than the goblins as we get within striking range. Once in that range, I pull out of their striking range to make them lunge further, and once I do that, I swing my sword while letting go of it, then using the string, I wrap it around one of their necks.

Before I can decide what to do, one of them on the left lunges at me again. Thinking quickly, I rotate anticlockwise while pulling on the string as hard as possible. I was cut on the arm by the spear due to my late reaction time, but I still accomplished my goal.

The string begins slicing through the skin before completely removing the head, putting all the goblins in a state of shock before the headless body begins to spray blue blood everywhere.
