(Y/n's Pov)

I had been driving for 3 hours, it was June 3rd, on a Friday. I just got a new house in a beach side town named Beach City, I guess they like literal naming. My new house was along the beach, it was a walk away from the boardwalk but my new job was on the boardwalk so I didn't mind. Plus, it insured my privacy. I eventually started driving through a neighborhood, their were people walking along the sidewalks, i guess this 'city' was more of a small town where everyone knew everybody. I'll have to get used to that. I drove down a road to my house and parked in front of my garage. I got out of my car and unlocked my front door, I went and moved everything in before I brought myself and my pets to the house. I had back to my car to grab the 2 containers holding my 2 pets, they weren't pets most people would have, but they were adorable to me and I made sure this place has a good vet that would care for them.

I shuffled to hold them with one arm and grabbed my backpack of clothes I still had, I put it on my back and opened my front door, I shut it with my foot and went upstairs to the room I had all my pets stuff put in. I set down the container. I turned back to the 2 tanks in front of me and opened one's front opening door. Their both bio active tanks with logs and hides for the two snakes to climb, I open the first container and look down at the snake, a albino hognose, I picked up the orange snake and let her slither into her new home contently as I shut the door. I grabbed the masking tape I had on a table and wrote her name on it before sticking it on her cage. The tape read the name 'Saturn' as I opened the second cage and took a lavender hognose out his container. I set him down into his tank and shut the door as I got more masking tape and wrote down his name 'Ghost.'

I put the two empty containers in a cabinet under one of the snakes tanks and I left the room. I wouldn't have to feed them til Monday so I could finally relax. I went back downstairs and flopped onto my couch after tossing my backpack in front of bedroom door. I had 3 bedrooms in the house, 2 bathrooms, the snake room, a storage room, the kitchen and living room which were connected to each other making it easier to get between the two. I grabbed my remote and was about to turn on my tv before I heard a knock on the door, prompting me to get up and set the remote back down, I went over to my front door and opened it to see a young kid. He looked around 12, he had a plump body type with black puffy curly hair, a pink shirt with a yellow star in the middle of it, blue jeans and pink flip flops. "Hello. Can I help you?" I asked the kid as I leaned against my doorframe, he was slightly intimidated by me because well, I workout daily so I'm well built, and I'm just above average human height, but he was also a short kid.

"Hi! And yeah! You can help me get to know you! I saw you driving into town from the Big Donut so I wanted to come and meet you! Oh! My names also Steven!" Steven said as he held his hand out for a handshake which I returned "well, it's nice to meet you Steven. My names Y/n." He grinned at me "cool name! Where do you work? I could visit you!" He said happily, I have a feeling he was a happy go lucky type of kid. "I work at the Funland Amusement park. It's close to my house and just driving past that place it looked extremely understaffed." "That's because only Mr.Smiley works there and he runs an arcade too! I'm glad your helping him!" "Thanks little man." "Your welcome! But i have get back home to the gems! I'll see you around Y/n!" Steven said as he ran off down the beach as I waved bye to him but went onto my porch and shut the door behind me and sat on one of the chairs I had on the porch.

Maybe this town won't be as bad as I thought at first. I looked my phone and went to this blog page I found about the town, the guy who ran it was bonkers but the paranormal stuff this town went through had dragged me even more towards it. I've always liked the paranormal, I don't like dealing with it face to face, such as ghosts but I like seeing it from a distance. I watched one of the videos on this giant hand ship that had arrived on the edge of the beach, the video was about 2 months old. I watched it 3 times through, taking in all the little details I could get from it, it wasn't much but it was clearly and alien ship for a super advanced species, one that could easily overthrow humans. Wonder what's stopping them though... I gave a hum in thought. Maybe I should go diving for a bit. That always calms me down. I went back inside and went to my room to get my swimsuit, snoring mask, and flippers. I undressed in the bathroom and put my swimsuit on and carried my mask and flippers to the beaches edge, I slipped on the flippers and put on my mask and walked into the water, it was cold at first but I slowly got used to it as I walked deeper into the water.

I started swimming first to work my muscles before diving to see the fish swim away from me and the coral and seaweed on the sea floor. I saw something sparkle in the distance, I was going to swim closer until I had to go back up for air. Once I caught my breath, I dived back into the water, the sparkle was gone so I grumbled and swam around, looking at coral and the sea creatures swim past as I went back to the shore and went back into my house to dry off. I'll looked for the sparkle tomorrow, might be back by then.
