Ch.2 Memories

I walked to the Funland amusement park, it was Monday already, I hung out with Steven on Sunday and I wasn't able to find that shiny thing again. I met this kid named Onion too, he.... He was something alright........ he stole my wallet so I had to chase him down so that's how I met his mom, Vidalia. She had many paintings of this purple blob, it seemed.... Oddly familiar.. but I don't like dwelling on the past- I shook the thoughts out of my head as I got to the park and gave Mr.Smily a thumbs up as he well, smiled and went into the arcade as I got the park ready for the day. I tightened my bandana around my neck, making sure it hides the white rectangular Zircon gem that my tank top doesn't cover. I heard small footsteps coming into the park, seeing Onion with a crowbar "turn around Onion." I simply said as Onion looked at me and frowned at me, he walked away dragging the crowbar behind him. I snicker as he walks off and I hear a familiar sound off flip flops running towards me along 1 other set of feet. "HEY Y/N!!!" I heard Steven yell as he ran at me and I held my hand out for him to high five which I'm given. "This is my friend Connie!" He told me as he was holding the hand of a girl about his age. I gave her a wave which she returned "hey um... are you alright?your... really pale." Connie said which I answered with "I just don't get out much and it's genetics." She gave me a stare before Steven dragged her off and I followed them both to the thing they wanted to do.

Steven was trying one of those 'hit the bottle with the ball and win something' games, I watched as today appeared to be a lazy day. As the day continued on, Steven left with Connie. Some people wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, play the games around the park but that was about it. I was leaning against a wall chewing some gum, I met a few people who lived in town, like the cool kids (including Onions older brother, Sour cream, we met at Vidalia's place and I listened to some of his songs.), Lars and Sadie who work at the Bug Donut together, the Mayor surprisingly (only because he tried to bring his mayor car into the park and I wouldn't let him). I grabbed my phone and started messing with it when I heard some footsteps running towards me. It was... Steven again? "Hey Y/n! I have some friends I want you to come and meet!" He shouted as he ran over and hugged my legs.

     "Okay then. Just let me finish working, I have to shut everything off." "I can help!" "If you want too." I showed Steven how to shut off the more simple games as I turned off the more complex ones and shut down the park as Steven grabbed my hand and started dragging me down the beach. "Where are we going, Steven!?" I shouted as brought me in front of house connected to a HUGE statue of a woman, two of its hands coming down and holding the house. "Cmon! Just up here!" Steven yelled as he dragged me up the stairs and into the house. This place seemed oddly familiar..... but that was 5000 years ago... they can't possibly still be here.. Steven opened the door to the house and ran inside, dragging me along with him. There was...... no..... no... No... NO! THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE! I watched the 3 gems sitting on the couch of the house... the Amethyst was new... but that Pearl... "Y/n...? You okay?" I heard Steven ask he pulled on my hand a little.

     I shake my head and look at Steven "yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking." "Okay! Well these are the gems! This is Pearl! Garnet and Amethyst!" He said whilst pointing at the 3 gems as he said their names. Amethyst gave me a wave and Garnet just gave me a glare as the Pearl squinted at me... she better not remember me.. "it was nice to meet you guys but.. it's pretty late. I need to go home, I'll probably see you at Funland tomorrow Steven." I told them all as I speed walked out of the house.. there was a warp pad.. maybe they have a ship... I could finally get back to my lovely diamond! The only trace of perfection in this entire universe! As I sped walked along the beach, I noticed a something explode into smoke in the distance near.. MY HOUSE!? I ran over quickly and looked around, nothing was damaged.. so what made the-

     I look down at the sand, seeing the orange yellow gem laying in the sand. I gently picked up the gem.. a Jasper... they were a rush job made on earth for the war that I had to get stuck in.... Maybe I'll be lucky and this is the perfect Jasper I heard about all those years ago. She'd be able to help me get back to Homeworld.. back to my diamond.. but if those gems are there, where is their leader? Where's Rose Quartz..? I shake the thoughts out of my head and enter my house whilst holding the Jaspers gem. Hopefully, she'll reform soon. I set the gem down on the floor and sat down on my couch. I'll just have to wait until then.
