The forest was a thriving landscape filled to the brim with glowing mushrooms and twisting trees following sweet Juliet's footsteps as she stepped farther and farther into the heart of the forest were, according to the faeries, the queen resided and awaited Juliet.

As to why the queen of faeries would seek acquaintance with Juliet escaped the the young girl; however, she was past the point of no return and had convinced herself that surely the queen of such friendly creatures would be just as amiable.

The Forest on the other hand was terrifying yet resplendent. And when the time came for Juliet to meet the infamous queen of faery her being was similar to that of the forest.

Though before she met with the queen she was led through the court of faery, in which it seemed all types of creatures lazed about. Beings both human and animalistic lazed about swaying like the wind to the strange music that played. Feminine creatures with vines and flowers as hair danced away without a care while other creatures beckoned for Juliet to partake in the faery drinks and food that was served around. Many times Juliet made her way to the creatures accepting their offers, but she never made it far before one of her faery guides brought her back to the original path with a sharp tug of her hair and even once with a bite.

The entire court was made of nature- from things to thorns and roses, to bones and light. The queen's Throne room seemed to be made of petals and vines with a ceiling of stardust, through the most prominent object in the room was the queen herself. An image of exquisiteness as she sat serenely on a throne made of branches with grand leaves sprouting, each glistening with sparkling dew drops.

But even the ethereal throne paled in comparison to the queen who sat atop it, the Seelie Queen was both pulchritudinous and terrifying that Juliet found herself unable to breath until one of her faery guides sharply poked her in the ribs.

The Seelie Queens long blood red hair trailed lightly against the soft blades of grass that was the carpet along with the hem of her long dress that sparkled in the light and seemed to be made of spider silk and flora.

With a sharp intake of breath Juliet curtsied low to the ground, her legs straining from the effort until the Seelie Queen lifted young Juliet up with a sharp finger under her chin. As Juliet looked into the queen's beautifully terrifyingly black eyes, everything fled from her mind in that moment. All the love and determination to find Romeo seemed to vanish, lost in the haze of the Seelie Queens stare.

"It seems that a lost rabbit has found its way to us," said the Seelie queen in a silvery voice.

As Juliet struggled to form coherent thoughts the queen grew impatient

"Speak!"She said with an orotund voice.

"I search for my love," Juliet said quickly, "yes my love- Romeo. Can you help me?"

"My dear, you must be more specific. I can accomplish many things- but everything comes with a price. Now tell me my lost rabbit- what is it that you wish I do?"

"I wish for you to reunite me with my true love Romeo. I was told that he resides beyond this forest. Please i beg of you"

"Such a simple task for a queen? It shall be done, but what will you offer in return for my assistance?"

"Ask of me anything and i will provide it."

"Is that so?" with a snap of her fingers the Seelie Queen brought forth a puff of smoke that revealed to be Juliet's beloved Romeo.

Sunken to the ground he sat depressed and hopeless muttering Juliet's name under his ragged breath.

"Oh Romeo!" Juliet cried as she ran toward the melancholy man. She wrapped her arms around his being, but received no response,"Romeo! Romeo! It is me your beloved Juliet! Answer me beloved! I beg of you!" Juliet wept into the unresponsive Romeo's shoulder, "dear queen i beseech you to help him!"

" He seems to be enchanted. I can help the boy, but the price will be much higher," the queen said with a hungry look in her bottomless eyes.

"Anything! Anything!" cried Juliet.

"What i truly desire is the heart of an innocent, fresh and still pumping,"

"The heart of an innocent?" whispered a pale Juliet.

"Quite a simple request for such a gran favor"

" But where will i find such a thing?!"

" Is your beloved Romeo unworthy of such a simple request?"

"But-"

"Girl everything has a price- whether you are willing to pay it or not"

Juliet stood there before the queen stricken with fear as to how to come by an innocent heart, when it struck young Juliet- myheart."I am but an innocent girl- my heart will be sufficient!"

"If what you say is true then yes, you shall have your Romeo"

"But how will i love without a heart?"

At that, the queen made her away Juliet and places and slender hand upon her rosy cheek, "i have the power to keep you alive and well dear," with that the Seelie queen placed a dagger made of glass and tears and instructed Juliet to begin.

At the first incision Juliet gasped at the pain, but with a glance at Romeo's sullen figure she continued. Every cut stung like poison and stained the ground with Juliet bright blood. First to the left, then to the right, then at the bottom and finally at the top, Juliet's dress was torn and no longer white- but a soggy dark red. As the girl imbedded her slender fingers into her own chest and gasped for breath as she tore her heart of her chest.

Juliet with a pained smile help her heart up to the queen who stood close by, true to her word a hand rested upon Juliet's shoulder.

"Now please, all i wish is to be with my Romeo"

"My girl- why would i ever want your heart?"

"You.. said..." Juliet choked- struggling to speak.

"What makes you think that you of all are innocent?"

"I-I"

"Foolish child, you caused the deaths of not only your own kinsmen Tybalt but also Mercutio that of your Prince. You selfishly deceived your family with your death- did you not know that your nurse died the next day after your funeral. She died of the love she felt for a foolish girl who lost her innocence to a boy she knew for less than day. Did you know that the Friar was mistaken? You've been asleep for years, your Romeo never received word of the Friar's plans and grief stricken, began a war between the two houses. Not only was your innocent betrothed Paris slain thinking he was protecting your honor, but also all of Verona was destroyed in war. So many deaths. So much innocent blood shed. What makes you innocent? Your heart is more black than the bones of your Romeo"

"Thats... Not... true..." Juliet whispered weakly as she looked over to Romeo's form, "My.... Romeo-"

" Do you wish to see your Romeo?" the queen snapped her fingers and Romeo was turned to nothing but rotten black bones

"You...Lie..." Juliet croaked.

"Dear did you never heed your parents warnings? Yes Faeries are unable to lie but able to twist the truth. That is your Romeo, his body was left to rot and dear it was always bones- what you saw was an illusion. Yes perhaps not the truth but never did i say it was true. For such a clever pilgrim you truly are daft. To think you had found true love!"With that the Seelie Queen began to remove her hand from Juliet's body. Removing her hand until only the tips of her finger brushed against Juliet's cheek and finally with a pitiful end to young Juliet's life with a tap to the girls nose and pained scream.

"For never was there a story of more woe than this of heartless Juliet and her rotten boned, Romeo"

***************************

i hope you enjoyed this story even if it has so many typos- because i literally can not be bothered to proof read even if its for a grade. Any way i think that Romeo and Juliet deserved a worse death because literally these kids were so fucking stupid and just- ugh. So that why i changed it the way i did and because the Fae are just so cool that you have to include them.
