alouette stays alert, making sure to look over her shoulder ever now and then. finally making it to the fridge, she opens it quietly, hoping to find something to eat.
"tsk, alouette? were you allowed to leave your room?" the meanest of all of them asked from behind her. she jumped in surprise and turned around quickly, squeezing her eyes shut.
"you do know, that it's very rude to disobey us right?" he stalks towards her, in a terrifying manner. "do you know what happens to rude people?"

alaric stares curiously at the young girl in front of him, and then back down at the ice cream. she'd fallen asleep a couple of minutes ago, freddy having to read her a story.
the ice cream melted a while ago, but he wanted to keep it. he still wanted to try it, but it just scared him. where he was from, they didn't have this.. ice cream.
in his home, he didn't get to have ice cream. it wasn't normal.
"hey dude, you know that you have to take me back to my motorcycle right?" freddy appears from the kitchen.
he nods absent mindedly, still focusing on the girl.
he had wondered if she was autistic, or behind in mental development."is she artistic?" he asks roughly, his accent thick and strong. he didn't know what word he was looking for. all the words in english sounded the same.
freddy chuckles to him self before walking up and examining the girl too, "i don't know.." he sighs, putting his hands in his pockets.
alaric wondered how they were related. how did he not know? surely their parents suspect something. anyone one could tell.
the way she talked, the way she acted, the way her hands excitedly moved at her sides at the mention of ice cream. it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"we're not actually brother and sister," he sighs again. "i only met her three years ago, she was so, scared. i felt like i needed to protect her you know? i took advantage of her state. i.." he trails, his eyes deep with shame as he looks down at her.
alaric's heart beats ten times faster, his hands clenching tightly at his side. he didn't know what he was going to say but it couldn't have been anything good.
freddy sighs, "i made her believe that we were siblings, i know it's wrong.. but i needed her to trust me. i needed to make sure no one touched her again. she felt like my family you know?" he voice cracks.
"no one can hurt her. no one." he finishes.

"mommy?" he wonders.
when he finds her, he giggles loudly, hugging her leg. "hi mommy!" he looked curiously at the man in front of his mommy. he didn't like him. his mama was his!
he walks to the man putting on his best angry face. "hey sir! my mommy!" he grunts angrily. the man smiles at him and his mom's face turns into a look of fear.
"go to your room alaric. now!" she yells at him. he frowns but listens, turning around and going back to his room, still hearing the conversation
the man chuckles to himself, "i didn't know you had a little boy, obedient one is he?"
~
alaric jumps up from his sleep, immediately searching for the light on his bedside table. turning it on he sighs. this girl was bringing back memories that were long gone.
