Somewhere in the Black Sea ~ Date: Unknown Time: Unknown
In the depths of the ocean the council gathered around in the meeting room, there was much to discuss on the next steps they would take. The council consisted of at least one of each faction or type of siren amongst them.
The meeting consisted of normal talk in the beginning, routine follow ups on things that had already been discussed previously. They all knew what really needed to be discussed but none wished to bring it up.
"The gifted sirens have been improving tremendously, their voices are as deadly as their beauty. I believe that we could lead a larger attack and destroy the southern and northern harbours." Lauren's voice spoke up eventually.
The green eyed seductress was tired of swimming around the subject. They all knew this war was happening thered be no point in trying to avoid the topic.
"Speaking of it's been months since we first attacked, we've managed to slow down they're fishing intake and deter their ships with storms but it won't last forever." The fishing master Aeris starts. He was sick of the waiting and his hunters were becoming agitated having to constantly conjure storms.
"It's best we wait, come up with a plan then attack so we don't lose warrior's unnecessarily." The head healer Nymeria inputted, her tone gentle as always. Nymeria was one of the only who didn't think it was necessary to go to war.
Marius looked at the woman as if she'd said the dumbest thing. "Our Warrior's fight for a cause, if you ever cared to pick up a weapon, perhaps you'd learn something of use as they have." He spat as the woman looked away slightly embarrased.
" He's right waiting around will do nothing, I say we attack land as soon as possible!" An Elder council member blurts out annoyed. There were nods and hums of approval from many around the table as they thought about it. "Yes, and how'd you go about that..hmm? As much as I'd love to slaughter the humans, we need to do this without harming any innocents in the process on both ends." A feminine voice deadpanned, her silver eyes glaring at the man across the table. He sneered at her in return despite his slight fear.
"Why not kill them all! They tried to wipe out our entire SPECIES for fucks sake!" Marius shouts in anger. "They didn't just slaughter our warrior's, they murdered our women and hatchling's. I vote we destroy them all!" The absolute absolute loathing dripped from each word as he spoke, his voice echoing off the walls.
"We have not only our strength but our numbers outweigh them tremendously as well as our magic. We could attack before dawn and end this!" The war general was rightfully enraged. Afterall they hadn't even started the war but were permanently affected by it.
Everyone in the room but a few tense up. Anger and pain being evident on all of their faces. The Great Ocean War was truly a devastating tragedy for their people, they had almost been wiped out to extinction. Had it not been for those who risked hiding in the deepest and deadliest parts of the ocean, they would have.
"While we are much stronger and ultimately better than them even without our magic at its peak, they have weapons that could easily wound us without any combat needed and the mages that would side with them as well." A voice finally speaks up from the emitting silence. The sea mage wasn't ready to risk those odds.
"Trust me Marius, I understand your anger, but if we were to slaughter innocents who had nothing to do with the war, we'd be no better than the scum that walks on land." Evisia, the Queens second, states a hint of malice in her voice as she attempted to stay calm from this situation, but the pure burning rage was hard to ignore.
In all reality Evisia wouldn't mind slaughtering everyone, but it wouldn't be very honorable or moral would it? That'd be a bit problematic seeing as she did value her moral's above most things. She wouldn't harm a child of any kind.
Marius with his pure white hair and blood red eyes scoffed at her reasoning, he wouldn't rest till every land dweller was dead. He vowed it to his fallen ancestors. He thought if they were truly innocent they wouldn't have stood by and let the war start in the first place.
"My Queen what do you think is the best option, you have yet to speak?" Lauren speaks once more, causing everyone to look at the head of the table where their queen sat twirling her dagger between her fingers deep in thought.
She wore her usual evil smirk on her face, likely imagining different ways to torture others, as her white scales and tail quite literally glowed in the dark room. Her crown made of shells and red moonstones sat atop her long blonde hair with hints of white in it.
Despite her light angelic features, she was likely the most terrifying creature present in the room.
It took a few minutes before her psychotic crystal blue eyes snapped up slowly making eye contact with everyone in the room. This sent shivers down everyone's spines. Makaia's eye twitched as she inhaled through her gills.
Oh how she enjoyed the smell of their fear. The woman was truly sadistic and brought fear to anyone she encountered. Even the greatest sharks swam away from her in fear of their lives. Her people believed she was a reincarnation of all their greatest and cruelest warrior's that passed and that she would lead them to greatness.
"We need to maintain focus on securing the entirety of the ocean, you all forget our sister species who betrayed us. They were the main cause of our downfall, not the pathetic land dweller's." She seethed as her grip tightened on the blade.
"Tell me my sweet cousin what do we do to those who betray us?" Her accented voice asks as icy blue meets a deep red.
"We destroy them my Queen." Marius's gruff voice responds.
"Exactly."
Her eyes stayed glued on the man in his seat as she addressed her advisor.
"What information has your spies gathered Evisia?"
"They now have a larger territory but with smaller numbers in their militia." "Hmm... first we'll diminish their numbers further before attacking Atlantis capital with a large portion of our army." She declares with an evil glint in her eyes as she starts to sharpen her claws with the dagger. "For their treachery they shall be the first to suffer, we shall show them no mercy or sympathy." She added as her menacing blue eyes stared into the redhead's own silver eyes. They shared a knowing look as a fanged grin stretched onto Evisia's face.
"Marius, I want you to increase the warriors training levels, aswell as more weapon training with the gifted and sea mages." she stated in finality. "Anything else? No? You're all dismissed then, i'll come and check the progress myself soon." No one else spoke as they all started to leave the meeting to tend to their tasks.
Makaia, Queen of the Siren's and rightful Queen of the Ocean, refused to let the kelp-brained idiots get away with what happened. She'd slaughter everyone in Atlantis if need be to make sure nothing like that could ever happen again. The humans could be dealt with after, if they didn't agree to her terms she'd destroy them and all that sided with them as well.
She couldn't help the mad cackle that escaped from the back of her throat as she thought of licking her enemies blood from her sword once she killed them. Her haunting laughter echoed down the hall as others became startled with fear and concern.
