"We need to make use of the Dofus!", Adamai pressed. The rest of the brotherhood was staring at the twins, watching how both of them were arguing. The air was tense, and while none of them wanted to have another fight between the two, once again, they were torn between the destiny of the Dofus.
Yugo's fist clenched, his fingers making contact with the scars on his palms. He was scared:"I am not gonna use them Adamai!" "We might not have another choice.", his brother was just as scared, but not of the repercussions using the dofus might have, but the repercussions letting the mechasms roam free might have on their home.
"There's always another choice.", Yugo kept his voice down, trying not to escalate anything. "Oh yeah, like what?", and while his brother had the same intention, his tone was a lot more provocative. Luckily, Yugo knew to ignore it and answered his brother in all seriousness:"The new power Eliatrope showed me. Stasis."
"Don't get me wrong, but that's not gonna cut it. That new little power just won't be enough!" "How do you know!" "Well... I just do!", Adamai stuttered. Before Yugo was about to shoot something back to his brother he stopped for a second, realizing that they were about to spiral into a ridiculous argument again.
"Adamai. It's not like I don't want to help. It's just... the last time I used them, I lost you.", so instead of raising his voice at his brother, he tried to explain to him, why he was so opposed to the dragon's idea. While Adamais's voice calmed down, he didn't quite seem to grasp Yugo's point:"But this time I am in on it, I have your back."
"But what if something like Oropo happens again?", Yugo started to get desperate, pulling out every argument he could find. "Then that would still be better than the entire world ending.", Adamai stated, as if it was the easiest decision he had ever made. But to Yugo, it wasn't quite as easy. Could he really do all of that again, knowing what harm, damage, and hurt it did? Even if it would save the world, it was hard for Yugo to say that he would absolutely do it. "I know, but...", the eliatrope ran out of words, unsure what he was supposed to say.
Yugo let the Stasis light up in his right hand, eyeing it closely. His brother was probably right. It wouldn't matter, that this power was more destructive than Wakfu. If it wasn't akin to a god's power, he would not stand a chance against the entire race of the mechasms.
Amalia stared at the purple energy, deep in her thoughts:"Yugo. Could you show me that sword again?" "Uh, sure, why?", he was irritated, but easily formed the energy into a sword, as he has done countless times before. "Look!", her eyes lit up:"Does this stasis thing not remind you of something?"
Everyone in the room stared at the Stasis sword, and then Amalia. None of them could quite see what she had seen in the purple weapon, but then Evangeline's head shot to her best friend:"Wait! You don't mean...? Yes! A bit maybe? But are you sure Amalia?" "I don't know, it's just a theory. If people in the world of twelve use Wakfu, why not Stasis too?"
"What are you two talking about? Can we get an explanation in Iop?", Percedal chimed in, still lost in between all of the things the girls had said. "The Stasis.", the cra started:"It looks a bit like the source of energy, that we saw Sufokia use back on the crimson claw island."
"So Sufokia has stasis weapons?", the iop asked again, making sure. "Maybe. If the theory is correct." "So that might be our chance? If we can get Sufokia to help us, we might not need the Dofus?", Yugos face lit up, happiness spreading all over it.
And while his brother didn't shut him down entirely, giving hope to his Eliatrope twin didn't seem to be his strong suit either:"That's if they actually use it." "Adamai. Let's please give it a try.", Yugo plead. "But if we can't get more Stasis weapons on our side, we will use the Dofus, yes?", Adamai gave way.
