It is finally over; I am finished with burning in Hell for a day. I wasn't able to walk three feet down the hall from the gym when I got interrupted.

"Hey Tori, wait up!" A voice said that I didn't really want to hear.

I pouted and stomped my foot like a four-year-old before turning around. "What do you want?" I asked, annoyed.

He came up to me, touching my shoulder. "I wanted to say I was sorry." His voice sounded genuine, but the way he still held a smirk gave away that he wasn't really. The fact he even tried made me laugh at him. Such a stupid boy.

"We all know that you don't mean that Tyler," I told him.

He sighed, dropping the smirk. "Hey, that's not true. I realized that how I treated you wasn't right." This time, I could tell he wasn't joking around. "Me and Gilbert don't get along, and I heard that you were hanging around with him." He scratched his head. "I guess I resorted to being a dick to try to win you over."

"Okay," I told him.

The smirk reappeared on his face. "By the way, I've got to say, I was impressed that you turned me down. Not many girls do."

I rolled my eyes. "Well to your disappointment, it will happen again. I still don't really like you." I started to dilate my eyes, staring into his. "Now stay away from me." I compelled him.

Tyler's face scrunch up after a while. "What are you doing?" he asked.

I also scrunched up my face, probably the most attractive thing Tyler will ever see. Jokes, but it would be funny if it was true. Get back to the point, Tori! Right.

What!? Wait he's a Lockwood, duh. He can't be compelled because he was probably wearing vervain. Vervain is a plant that doesn't like us you can say. So, when we try to compel someone with it in their system, they are immune to us.

"I..." that's was all I could make come out of my mouth. So I just left.

As I walked away, I find Jeremy sitting outside at a table. Was he smoking? The kid was probably the most amusing person I met. Who smokes on school property? I got over to him and took the cigarette from him, throwing it on the ground and stomping on it. The kid is bound to get in trouble if he keeps that crap up.

Jeremy looked at me shocked, unable to speak at first until he recovered. "Hey, what was that for?" He asked.

"So are we going to the party?" I asked him.

He replied with a frown. "Ya, what about the game, you going?" The party was on a Friday so I assumed he meant football, and I nodded to him.

After a while, I gave him a wide grin, realizing I was right at lunch. "I told you, you wouldn't say no." Jeremy's eyes seemed to be glassed over. I raised an eyebrow.

He smirked, "What?"

"You're high?" I offered.

He shrugged at me, telling me that he really didn't care. "Nothing new. Knew that happened when you smoked pot," Jeremy chuckled.

I ignored his comment, picking at my nails. I remember in the sixties when I used to sometimes smoke pot. Then as soon as it started it ended. The fact that your clothes started to smell grossed me out. Jeremy's didn't smell like the plant, though. In fact if I hadn't witnessed him doing it, I wouldn't have known that he did smoke.

"When did you start?" I asked him.

Jeremy took out another role and started talking after an inhale, "My parents died in a car crash couple months ago."

I was able to tell that was all I was going to get out of him right now. Though I knew how he felt, I wished that he was happy again. It sucked having to feel dead on the inside for so long. Every day felt horrible, uninteresting, and all you wished was that it would change soon.

It was quiet for a bit (not uncomfortable) until Jeremy interrupted the silence. "What's your favorite type a fruit," Jeremy asked.

l laughed, "What?" The question was random and unexpected.

Jeremy had a crooked smile on his face. I shook my head and answered his question, "Strawberries." Jeremy wrinkled his nose, making me playfully stick my tongue out.

"Jeremy?" A girl with dirty blond hair came over. You could see tramp written on her from a mile away.

"Who's this?" She asked when she was up to us. I looked her up and down and gave a stale smile.

"Vicki, this Tori," Jeremy told her. "She is the new girl."

She smirked, "So you're the girl everyone's talking about."

I rolled my eyes. I've heard that too many times today. "That would be me. I need to go. Stefan is waiting." I grabbed my bag off the bench and left.

Stefan was already at the car, waiting for me. I gave him a smile which returned as I went over to my side of the car. Both of us got in, Stefan starting the car. He didn't leave right away.

Stefan wrinkled his nose up, "You smell like pot."

"Very observant, Stef Stef," I said while getting in the car. "But no worries, I wasn't smoking."

The new kid drama died out, but both Stefan and I still got a lot of attention. Jeremy said that it won't last long. It's just that no one ever moves into the small town. You don't know how much I know this is true.

Anyways, since the week slowed down... a lot, I was jumping for joy when I got to school today because it was Friday. The whole school was going crazy for the first football game and then the party afterward. Me? I was only relieved that I now get two days to myself once school ended.

"Stefan," I yelled while walking into his room.

"You know you don't need to yell," he replied as he finished a set of push ups.

"Right, I always forget that..." I trailed off, putting a finger to my chin and thinking for a moment. Stefan cleared his throat, reminding me that I was in here for a reason. "Oh, yeah, are you going to the game? 'Cause I kinda need a ride there."

He nodded before pointing to his shirt. "Yeah, I'm playing tonight."

Stefan was wearing a dark red jersey with the number '17' on it. I glared at the shirt then him. "You didn't tell me you were playing football! And don't tell me yelling isn't necessary because right now, you are in trouble."

He crossed his arms. "You've been too busy with Jeremy the past couple of days any you know-" Stefan took two fingers and did an example of someone smoking.

I glared at him, but then chuckled."You're cracking a funny, huh Stef Stef?" I asked him he smiled at me. "First of all, I am not the one smoking. Second, we've been through this, sisters always tell each other things, Stefan! It's rule number one. I should've been the first one to know that you're playing football."

He sighed, still keeping a small smile on his face. "I'm breaking this sister bond, but I can fix it by giving you a ride to the field in ten minutes."

I couldn't keep in the laughter, no matter how much I tried then I realized what he said. I whined, "Stefan, I just got out of that place! Ugh, fine. It sucks having such an athletic sister."

With that, I walked to my room to grab my things.
