CECILIA
CHAPTER TWENTY TWO
•AGREEMENT•

It's so boring at her job because I'm doing literally nothing. She's taking phone calls, doing paper work, setting up meetings. While I'm in her office, laying on the couch.

I would try and distract her but she just laughs and gets back to her. I was even bored on my phone too, I read articles about us. I was texting Mavis and Nadia but then I got bored.

Then I tried drawing and that got boring and I just wanted to know how much longer I had to endure this shit. "You know you can go and get some food right? Explore wherever you want to go, I'll get my driver to take you."

We've already been here for two hours and she just now tells me this shit? I nodded. "Yes please, first I'll go explore this place, and get something to drink, you want something?"

"Coffee, two sugars." No creamer? Ew. I nodded and walked out of her office and went on the elevator, going down. There was a man already in here, and so was a lady. I smiled at the lady since she looked back at me and she smiled back.

Then the man did and I recognized him as Evangline's father. What was he doing in here? "Cecilia?" He asked, fulling turning around. I nodded. I haven't heard the best things about him, so I didn't really know how to react.

"Yes that's me." I laughed nervously. He smiled and awed at me. "You've grown so much." He said, I nodded. "I was just coming up to my daughters office just to come find you, but I guess you found me huh?"

I nodded once more. "I need to talk to you about something. Evangeline isn't to know about it either." I furrowed my eyebrows. I'm gonna end up telling her, he guided me to the elevators once more and we stood there, I stood there in awkward silence as the elevator too us to our destination.

Once we got out, he took me to an office, I've never seen it before, well she's never mentioned it to me. He opened the door and waited until I was to close and lock the door.

He had four bodyguards in each corner and then in one front of the door. "What is the meaning with all this?" I asked, he pointed to the chair for me to sit down. He sat down too, a smirk on his face. "I've just been meaning to have a word with you, my daughter and I are not on...good terms." I nodded.

Clearing his throat, he rested arms on the table. "My daughter and you are not fit together." He started off, I furrowed my eyebrows. "You both will not last, so I'd advice you to leave her now. She will get bored of you just like any other women she's been with."

"I know her." I said, he laughed at me. "You don't think I know that? I watched you two grow up. But I watched her grow up, I watched her become someone else. Evangline isn't the same Evangline you met in high school."
