Triggers: Drinking and Dating
Au by ShiShiMinty on instagram."I don't care what the hell you mean Barn, fuck off, that woman is mine," Wally angrily stated as he drank a shot at the bar with him. "Oooh~ Someone's protective, oh please, the woman is just a dayum visitor, she's leaving soon. Why such the attachment?" Barn challenged. Wally looked at him, a little surprise but he wasn't wrong, obviously blushing a bit.
"I don't want her to leave Dark Hallow though," Wally whispered over his drink, "How is she going to want to stay in this world, it's dark and scary," Barnaby stated. "Your not wrong," Wally sighed. The door to the bar rang it's little bell and there stood Y/n in her glory.
In the town, she showed up randomly from a different location, her appearance made her something that couldn't be quite ignored by most of the evildoers, including the most evil of all and that of Wally himself. "Afternoon Howdy, you know what I like," Y/n stated as she laid a twenty on the counter. "Coming right up," Howdy responded cheerfully, being the lesser evil among others made him a easy target but no one wanted to miss out on their gambles and wonderful drinks, making them leave him alone.
Wally stared her down, making her notice him immediately. "Wally, you're staring you know," Y/n smiled. Wally stopped and turned back around, trying to be too scary or creepy to try and not make her run off. "Apologies," He stated formally. Howdy brought her drink and gently sat it front of her. "Appreciated," She said, making Howdy nod. "How much longer do you plan on staying here?" Wally asked her as he took a sip of his whiskey.
"I'm not sure, I like it here. The rainy weather is consistent here and it's fun, it's like I can't decide," Y/n said as she drank her drink. "Really?~" Wally smirked, Barnaby noticed his voice change and right as he tried to get up, Barnaby forced him back down to his seat. "Don't act creepy, remember," Barnaby whispered. Wally knew he was right, he sighed and sat back down.
"Is something the matter Howdy?" Y/n asked him, Howdy was staring off in the distance behind them. "Uh...Welcome Sheriff Dear..." Howdy smiled nervously. Howdy obviously felt threatened by his presence. "Relax Pillar sir, I'm only here for drinking purposes," Eddie stated kindly. "I would like your strongest," He stated coldly. "O-of course."
Howdy quickly got his drink as requested, after all, it was his duty as a bartender. Howdy owned a restaurant and a bodega, making his business boom but what others never knew was that he also made illicit beverages behind the scenes. Making his restaurant bar popular in the town. "How's your husband Sheriff?" Wally asked kindly, Eddie looked at him coldly. "What's it to ya?" He pressed. "Nothing, just curious, we didn't hold that wedding for nothing," Wally said, taking a sip of his drink. "O-oh...we're good, Frank has been working consistently on his experiments so he's busy and so am I," Eddie smiled as he sipped his drink as well.
"Say ya Y/n, planning on stayin?" Eddie asked, Y/n looked at him and smiled. "I can't choose, I love the rainy weather and the people, but sometimes gloominess isn't my thing, I'm pretty neutral," She stated. Eddie smiled and nodded a little, "I gotcha," He simply nodded. Wally frowned a little at the thought, "You better admit those feels to her before she leave before its too late buddy," Barnaby warned to Wally, rooting for him.
Y/n smiled as she quietly sipped on her drink, taking the flavor in. Wally got off his chair and moved beside her, gently sitting. "Mayor," She addressed. "Y/n," He smiled, addressing her as well. "You know that if you leave, a guy such as myself would be a little bit upset," Wally said, "How so?" Y/n asked, furrowing her brow. Wally gulped nervously, blushing a bit and not saying a thing.
"Is it because you love me?" She questions, Wally cleared his throat and looked at her, "Maybe," He answered. "Awe~ How sweet," She teased, Wally was taken aback by her response, feeling a bit rejected. "I'm going to be honest, I never thought the Mayor of all people would take such a liking to gal like me, tell me, why?"
"You stand out, your beautiful. Your also very sweet, honest, and playful," Wally expressed, "Well, here's my number, for a proper date when you're ready," Y/n stated, giving him her number. "Howdy, I'd like my drink to go," Y/n announced which Howdy happily obliged. "Of course."
When Howdy finished, he handed it to her which she gave him a $20 in cash. "Rest in tip," She said as she left. Wally looked at the number, feeling a little bit confused. "Good job!" Barnaby smiled, giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Thanks," Wally replied. "Look, you tried, she didn't reject you at least," His said. "What? Really?" Wally said, not entirely knowing how dating or romance works. "Yeah, she gave you her number did she not?" Barnaby smiled, "Uh- Yeah. What does that mean?" Wally asked, Barnaby facepalmed.
"Let's see, you admitted your love to her now all there is left is to set up a date by calling her," Barnaby instructed. "Wait, do you not know how dating works?" Barnaby questioned, Wally looked away in embarrassment, not replying. "It's alright, I'll be your instructor or your co-pilot on this little dating journey," Barnaby smiled. "Thanks," Wally replied nervously. "Don't mention it buddy," Barnaby responded.
After finishing his drink, he left and went home, apun arrival, he maid and butlers greeted him. "Welcome back sir," They said in unison, Wally smiled. "Todays your lucky day, take the rest of the night off, I'm going to room early tonight," He stated honestly, leaving them be. When he entered the room, he stared at the phone before quickly picking it up and failing her number. "Hello?"
"Y/n, it's Wally," He said nervously, fiddling with the phones wire of the number turning phone. "Mayor~ So happy you decided to call, is this about the date?" Y/n asked, her voice clearly showing a sense of excitement. "Yes," Wally replied, blushing softly. "How does tomorrow afternoon around 4 at Poppy's Bakery and Cafe?" Y/n asked as she waited for his response, Wally checked his calendar, seeing his schedule was open. "Sounds good," Wally replied, feeling a little bit guilty that she had to go about everything because of his lack of experience. "Good, see you there," She said as she hung up. "Wait-..." Wally called but it was too late.
He wanted to chat but then again it was late, he sighed and wrote the date on his calendar. He smiled , feeling a bit excited about the date. "Don't screw this up," He stated to himself. "We're rooting for you, it's good to see you're trying dating," His butler stated. "Fletcher, I thought I released you early," Wally said coldly. "You did, but I'm not going to, but the others did," Fletcher said, beginning to pour his favorite tea for him. "Don't, I don't feel like it this time," Wally stated sternly, his butler notices and obliged.
"She's changing you sir, are you okay with that?" He asked Wally, Wally looked at the calendar and smiled, "If she stays and gives me her time, I'll happily change things," He smiled, his evil ways becoming less evil, his heart softening.
