Chapter Two

Balo looked at Lina, eyes widening, "You want me to step out into that light?! Are you crazy!"

Lina turned around, glaring at him, "What's so bad about it?"

"Well, you see, that light is a danger to me. Do you have an umbrella or an shadier area?" Balo said as he raised an eyebrow.

"Why, no, no I don't. Why do you need an umbrella for? The sun is great!" Lina said, as her curiosity toward Balo was getting more... serious.

Balo sighed, "May you be kind enough to get me an umbrella, please? I really need one.."

Lina sighed, "Fine, but this is the only thing I'm getting you for now!" She walked down the road, toward an old, stone built store.

Balo looked around as other people passed him until he saw a person, dressed up exactly like he did. "Why is he out in the sun if he's one of us? He doesn't need to be!" He said to himself until his gaze drifted back to the old store. Lina was just paying for the umbrella as she walked out, keeping the umbrella on her shoulder.

"Okay, here Mr. NotSoNormal!" Lina giggled, handing Balo the umbrella.

"Thank you, Mrs. Lina." Balo said as he fixed the umbrella properly, walking out from under the tree, followed by Lina.

"No problem! And why are you so.... different?" Lina asked with curiosity in her tone.

"Well, I'll tell you later, if I may. And may I ask, I really want to know what this school is called." Balo said, looking down at Lina.

"Well, at school, you mostly learn new things and work on projects, daily work, homework, different things like that. It's mainly just a learning society.." Lina said quietly, looking over at the school she goes to.

"Oh, alright, thank you for telling me. I really appreciate your time to tell me this." Balo said with a sigh, looking at the school.

Balo saw the same girl that was arguing with him early about this so called cosplay. He gave a small sneer as another girl stood beside Khloe. "Well, well, well, looks like Lina is in love with a cosplayer!" A girl with shorter brown girl said.

"Why, hush Kila! You have no reason to talk! Now, if you excuse me, let me introduce you to Balo, a friend I'm showing around!" Lina snapped, glaring at the other girl.

"Why, hello. So, your name is Kila? How wonderful, but do not talk to Lina like that." Balo said with a slight snort.

"Balo, that's your name. Are you a cosplayer? Cuz you look like your cosplaying as a vampire!" Kila said, forgetting about what Balo told her.

"Why, no! I am not a cosplayer! I don't know what a cosplayer is, actually! Now hush mortal!" Balo said as he turned around, starting to walk away.

"Wait! Then are you really a vampire!?" Kila exclaimed as Lina started walking to Balo slowly.

"And if I am, what may your point be?" Balo scoffed, stopping.

"Oh, you are! Awesome!" Kila said, sarcasm in her voice as Lina grabbed Balo's hand, walking away from the girls as they finally entered the school yard.
