My parents had been offered a deal of becoming a partner of a huge law-firm that they worked at back home which is part of why we moved. With the money from the offer they were able to get us a big house like my mom always dreamed about.

"Come on Lex", I said getting out the car.

"Mom?", I shouted as we entered the house.

As we walked to her office I saw Lex looking at all the baby pictures my mom had up of me. She even got to see my embarrassing quince pictures. She looked over at me and laughed before she quickly took a picture and kept walking with me.

"Hola mami", I said smiling. Lex behind me popped her head up and gave my mom a small wave.

"Hola mi amor, es que tu nueva novia?", she said pushing her glasses down.

"Mami no", I said with a groan before continuing. "Puede que lo sea, pero todavía no. Solo quería que supieras que iremos al cine más tarde si eso está bien? Tambien, Reina está en casa?"

"Si, pero mantén la puerta abierta y come antes de irte. Reina regresará de la escuela en cualquier momento, así que."

"Alright Mami", I said before turning to leave.

"Nice to meet you uh-", my mom started.

"Alexis", Lex said.

"Alexis, what a nice name. Nice to meet you hun", my mom said before going back to her work.

"How come you have her your full name?", I asked taking a seat on my bed.

"I wanted to be respectful to your mom", Lex said looking around my room and playing with the little ornaments and toys I had.

"What was she saying to you?", she asked taking her shoes off to then sit opposite me.
