Michaels POV
After hours and hours of searching, I was pretty sure I had visited every gate in the airport. Using the picture of Claire that I had on my phone, I asked every attendant if they had seen her. Every single person said that they hadn’t.
I felt defeated, crushed, and scared. I was scared about what would happen to Claire while I wasn’t there to protect her. I started walking toward the exit when a young female attendant stopped me.
“Can I see the picture of the girl you’re looking for?” she asked in a high, squeaky voice.
“Uh, yeah, sure” I held my phone out to her, and she looked at it before looking back up at me.
“I have seen her. Earlier today, she was boarding flight E-26, heading to Olympia, Washington,” she explained. “The flight she’s on will take her about three days to get there, but there’s a flight leaving tomorrow morning that can get you there about an hour before the plane she’s on lands,”
“Okay! Thank you so much!” I took my phone back and ran to the kiosk, buying a ticket for the flight. After I had the ticket, I left the airport, and headed home.
*About an hour later*
*Riiing. Riiing*
“Hello?” I answered my phone, not knowing who the person calling me was.
“Hello. Is this Michael Jones?” the person asked.
“Who wants to know?” I felt a bit scared. How did this random stranger know my name?
“I’m Chandler Collins. Don’t ask how, but I heard that your friend went missing. I’m willing to help you find her, for a small fee, of course. I have done things like this before, and I will be able to find her,” the person on the line spoke.
After a moment of hesitation, I agreed. I had enough money to offer.
“I know where she’ll be tomorrow,” I explained about the ticket I had. The man gave me an address, and I sent the ticket. Then, the call disconnected.
I went to bed, hoping that this man would be able to find Claire, and bring her home. It hasn’t even been twenty four hours, and I missed her like crazy.
(A/N): Sorry its short, but I have the next chapter already planned out, and will be updating soon
