"Man why the hell are we even still on this case!?""The hell do you mean why?"
"Is this guy seriously complaining again?"
"He always does."
"Like seriously, who let them damn kids decide on what case we do!? Don't they have school!?"
"Those kids are better than all of us here. I don't see why you're so surprised."
"Alright everyone, back to work. You don't get paid for nothing around here!"
The group of detectives groaned in annoyance as they all got back to work.
The sound of keys on the keyboards started to fill in the silent room. They all had focused in on their work acting like nothing had happened.
In a separate room from the other detectives lay one boy looking over multiple surveillance cameras doing his very own investigation.
His name
Shuichi Saihara
He has been tasked by his two co-workers to look and find anything unusual from these camera feeds.
And so far nothing has been found. He was honestly kinda confused why they even asked him to look through these. After all, these were 10 years ago.
He lightly tapped his fingers as he watched through the old recordings. Most of these were just normal everyday events. People walking down sidewalks, traffic and the occasional car crashes.
While sighing he writes notes down with the date of the recording. He has been doing this all morning and still nothing out of the ordinary.
After some time Shuichi began to lose focus, he's been doing this for 2 to 3 hours and still nothing.
He had closed his eyes out of tiredness but never actually fell asleep. His right hand held his head up while he only listened to the audio.
Rain
It was raining in this recording, not to much of a surprise. It was really stormy in this one tho. The sound of thunder would ring out every few seconds, like the storm itself was making it's own beat.
Without even realizing he would tap his fingers every second to count when lighting would strike.

Every 9 seconds the sound of thunder would ring out. It was kinda satisfying knowing when it would happen, he felt like he was watching a live stream of just heavy weather. Hell he could almost fall asleep, but he wouldn't.

The noise made Shuichi jump. It was louder than any other and made the cars in the surrounding area go off. He opened his eyes and looked at the recording. Around the corner and out of view from the camera, he could see flashing lights.
After a few minutes he could see someone's silhouette from the flashing light. They had something over their shoulders. As they walked away out of view.
It looks like the storm made some of the cars go off around this area, it was a louder one this time around.
"Is there a different camera angle I can look at?" Shuichi says to himself as he starts look-vrrmmmrkdbrdjdbekewnasisbwiaabvwwbejskwk
