"Girl, you have got to catch up on some sleep or something.. you look like a zombie." Alya tisked.

"You sound like my mom" Marinette slammed her forehead onto her desk. She heard her friend giggle,an infectious smile painting her face. She knew Alya was right, she always was. It's not my fault I was out late again last night. She leaned her head on her hands, facing the wall. Was I too rude last night? I shouldn't have left, he didn't deserve that. She scrunched her eyes tight, causing a headache to form at her temple. Hopefully today goes by fast.Marinette couldn't bare to face her partner, not after what she had done. His eyes flashed through her mind, reminding her of the pain she had caused. She remembered how he looked; heartbroken and confused. Shame carved a hole in her chest. Marinette knew knew how much ladybug meant to the him, making her feel even worse. Agitated, Marinette grabbed her purse. She needed a distraction. Lipgloss. Turning the cap, she immediately smelt the strawberry bliss. She was broke now of course but that didn't matter to the teenager. So worth it.

"Where Nino?"

Marinettes hand slipped smeared the gloss onto her cheek. She could recognize that voice from anywhere. Adrien.

" Oh hey Adrien, what took you so long?" Alya raised her eyebrow. Naturally, the reporter in her was curious.

"Dunno" He gave her a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of his neck. No way was he going to admit anything. He couldn't tell her that Plagg hid his school bag, and set his alarm to snooze. In the kwamis's defense, he was simply trying to give the kid a day to recover. He had seen pretty bent out of shape after his latest patrol.

"Ninos's sick today, we stayed out in the rain for too long" Alya said, her cheeks colouring.
Adrien nodded, not surprised. Before he turned to sit down, he glanced at Marinette. She was rubbing her cheek with the sleeve of her hoodie.

"Hey Mari" He whispered, just loud enough for her to hear; no one else. He watched as her ears turned pink. As if trying to look cool, she stopped what she was doing and smiled at him.

"Hey" Leaning forward, she whispered in his ear,her hand on his shoulder. Hearing her voice that close, and feeling her breath on his neck made him shiver. Must be cold in here. Since his best friend wasn't here he decided to sit with the two girls. He politely asked Alya if she could move over, so he could sit on her right, Marinette on her left.

"Sorry lover boy, but I can't move. Mari has space by her though!" Alya winked. Great, now I have to sit by the girl who I'm pretty sure is uncomfortable around me. The only reason he thought this, was because of how she never held eye contact with him. Adrien wished for once she would meet his gaze.

This is all thanks to Alya dragging Nino out to chase after ladybug. Her heart was pounding so loud she swore he could hear it. No matter how many years past since she met Adrien, she couldn't get over her feelings for him. He will never like you. You're pathetic. Signing, she moved over so her classmate could sit. As soon as he sat beside her, she could feel his body heat radiating off of him. His hand brushed hers, as he set his notebook out. She smiled in his general direction, purposely not looking up. If she met his eyes, she wouldn't be able to look away. He didn't even notice touching your hand.. he doesn't care about you. Marinette was about to take her notes out, when she noticed Adrien shivering. Without thinking, she took off her sweater.

" Here, wear my hoodie." She held it out to him, waiting for a response.

Adrien was shocked. First she barely acknowledged his presence and now she was offering him her sweater. Their hands touched as he went to grab the sweater. Holding her hands in his, he looked up at her.
"Are you sure? Won't you be cold?" He begged her to look a him. Look at me Marinette... please. To his surprise, she tilted her face up. Her hands were warm against his, sending a shiver up his arms. Blue collided with green. Adrien was frozen. Her eyes were innocent, emotions traveling through them like the ocean during a storm. They had bits of light blue sprinkled in them, like dashes of sparkles on a preschoolers project. Drawing closer, he was entranced. His eyes roamed over her face. She had lip gloss smeared on her cheek, from earlier. Without thinking he brought his thumb to her mouth, hovering over her lips. His hand was shaking as he cupped her face in his palm. Lightly, he brushed his thumb against the stray gloss, drawing a gasp from her. He needed to hear that again. Bringing his thumb to his lips, he tasted strawberries. Marinette's lips parted, her tongue wetting her lips.

" Don't be getting freaky beside me!" Alya grabbed the hoodie and slammed it over Adrien's head, breaking the trance.

Marinette whipped her head back to the centre of the room. Her face was warm; burning where his finger had traced her lip. The shirt she had underneath of her hoodie was a tank top. She hasn't thought this through. She glanced over at Adrien, her heart pounding. He was already staring at her, hair messed up from Alyas attack. Marinette reached out, fixing his hair for him. While she went to retract her hand, his hands loosely grabbed her, fingers tracing circles on her upper arm. He smiled at her, eyes shining.

She finally looked at me.
