18th Birthday

Akira POV two days later.

Todays the day it's here! Its finally here! I screamed jumping up and down.

"Happy Birthday Akira." A voice said inside my head.

It definitely caught me by surprise. I had forgotten that one of our abilities was being able to hear our wolf speak to us. "My wolf is that you."
"Of course Akira but you can call me Allura." She replied. Allura is such a beautiful name I thought to myself. It's told that the name of our wolf tells us everything we need to know about what type of wolf we are. I however never payed it to much attention. What if a wolfs name was bob? What will I know about my wolf just because his name was bob. It's ridiculous I know. Which is why I never payed attention to wolf name.
" It's finally nice to meet you akira, I cannot wait to shift with you and show you your full wolf form." Alurra says while shooting me back to reality.
"I'm very excited to meet you as well alurra." I should start getting ready we have a very busy day. My father and Beta Jones gathered up a team of wolves to help them set up for my big day. I absolutely have no fucking idea what I am going to wear. Do I dress sexy? Or maybe even elegant being I'm becoming a woman. I looked in my closet to be very disappointed. How could I not think to go shopping for this big day? I was so nervous about shifting into my wolf that I totally forgot it's a big celebration behind it. As I flopped down in my bed I'm startled by a banging noise on my door.
"Get your ass up Akira it's time to blow some fucking minds today." Liza screamed from outside. Liza was more excited than I was. I'm guessing because we finally get to run together. Liza was two years older than I, which mean she already met her wolf. She been running with the pack and all. Scarlett was her wolf name and she was beautiful to she was all brown with tad lighter brown patches all around her. I remember watching her first shift into her wolf. It looked so painful that it gave me chills. Hearing her bones break as she shift and the loud screams that followed behind it as she let her wolf take full control. I was told only the first 5 times will hurt after that I should be okay. I'm shaken up just remembering it.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
"I said get your ass up." She screamed louder breaking me from my thoughts.
"I'm coming just a second." I screamed back at her. Opening the door I was embraced by her excitement and she grabbed me and scream.
"HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY BITCH". Chuckling I replied
"Thank you Liza, leave it up to you to be more excited than I am."
"Of course I'm excited. It's not everyday you get to watch your bestfriend shift into her wolf." There was a moment of silence before I responded.
"Do you think I can do it?" And she starred at me with a puzzled look.
"What do you me by that?"she responded.
"Do you think I'll be able to give in and let my wolf take control? I've just been so nervous about this day coming that I don't even know how to let go. What if I get up there for everyone in our pack to see me shift into Allura and she doesn't come? My father will be so disappointed. He has nothing but high expectations for me, and why wouldn't he? After all he's alpha. I'm a representation of him."
"Akira I hate when you do this to yourself." She responded
"Do what to my self." I said to her with a sad look on my face.
"You burry yourself in your thoughts when it comes to your father and start to second guess yourself. Your are the most determined person I've ever met. When you want something you get it. I've never met someone as focused and dedicated as you and, I'm not just saying that cause I'm your best friend. Your wolf is going to be amazing. I can tell just by knowing you. You will have no problem with letting go and letting Alurra you said? Take over. Just remember your doing this for you and not for your father." She always know the best things to say to me.
"Besides let's focus more on this bad ass dress I got for you. Your gonna look absolutely stunning. Instead of worrying about Alpha Andrew you should be asking me how is Michael gonna keep them hands of his up off you. Or would you prefer me to say mouth instead." She says in a teasing but yet devious tone.
"Omg stop it please. I cannot think about Michael right now, I'll loose my train of thought." As I'm holding up this dress I'm thinking to myself Michael is definitely not gonna be able to keep his eyes let alone his hands off me. She was right it's stunning.
"Would you like Michael to be our mate". Alurra says to me.
"I was hoping the moon goddess heard my prayers and he be my destined mate." I reply back.
"Maybe it will work out in our favor then." I know Alurra doesn't understand about chosen mate. A wolf can feel when someone is their mate, and if she doesn't feel like Michael is our mate she won't be to happy about me chosen him. My father always told me a wolf prefer the mate that was destined to them, not one they have to settle with.
"You okay?" Liza says to me
"Never better." I reply
"Well great let's go get ready then. We cant be late to your own ceremony now can we." As I walk to the bathroom to go freshened up while Liza waits for me in my room I can't help but to feel butterflies I'm only hours away from my first shift, and on top of that the mate of my dreams will be there to experience it with me.
