Lyra's POV

My name is Lyra Lightkin, I'm 6 years old. I've been told that my surname was cool-sounding, but I said that it's nothing special... I asked my mother and father that 'What's the meaning of our surname?' they said that it means our life is full of hope and light, that's what I believe until the Angels of Hestium themselves came and killed my parents in front of me with just a single mistake my parents made... I couldn't do anything, but watch my own parent's untimely demise with my own two traumatized eyes, That day in my life became a unforgettable memory engraved into my mind and became the very reason why my life has changed and why my belief of my surname became confusing and absurd to me. After taking care of myself for 12 years training myself seeking vengeance and revenge in the heavens, stealing foods on the town to sustain myself, and pretending to remain loyal towards the heaven, because I know that when a person is at the legal age, they will be killed if they broke a single commandment.

Seraphar 24th, 5089
(The months in this story are different from ours, so I made up this one. This is January.)

"... My birthday is coming... Mom.. Dad..."

I placed a bouquet of flowers where my parents are buried with my eyes almost looking emotionless, then I leave and drew my sword that I picked up from the basement of our ruined home.

"Time to train... Again..."

As always I trained myself, enhancing my speed, strength, and magical power despite being almost emotionless, my crave for revenge remains the same. As 2 hours pass by, chains wrapped around by arms and legs, binding me tightly and burning my skins, but I don't feel any pain anymore. An angel appears.

"Don't think you can get away by planning a revenge on us! Heh even if we don't stop you, you'll never defeat the Hestium!" -Note: Hestium is a other name for Heaven in this world I've come up with.

I stood there almost showing no emotions, but I struggle a bit. The angel in front of me raises his sword ready to decapitate me, until someone emerged from the shadows and decapitates the angel first, eventually the chains dissipated and so is the angel.

"Be grateful, human."

he looks like a demon since he has horns and wings.

"Who.. Are you?"

I asked seemingly interested in this demon guy.

"I'm Aleron. As you can see I'm a demon, so you better not get involved with me. Farewell, human."

"Wait... Train me! I want to destroy the Hestium!"

For the first time, my eyes are full of determination and I felt my strong greed for revenge and vengeance. Aleron just laughed however.

"Do you hear yourself human? Do you really think that it's possible for you to conquer the Hestium?! Even us demons from Fhell cannot even match to them and you're telling me, you a mere human saying that you'll destroy the Hestium?!" -Note: Fhell is Hell in irl.

He seems angry.

"Even so... I will never give up. I will make them pay by killing my parents with their lives! They will... Pay!!"

For some reason my heart aches for revenge, the first time I feel overwhelming emotions. Aleron seems impressed.

"You're a weird human. What's your name, Human?"

"Lyra. Lyra Lightkin."

He seems to be looking at my very soul.

"I see... You're not just someone who's words are empty... Very well Lyra, you'll be coming with me, in the depths of Fhell! There, you will not be targeted by the angels, but the thing is the Fhell is very bad for humans."

"I'll be fine, I'll do whatever necessary to bring Hestium down!"

Aleron smiles expectantly, seemingly amused by my spirit and determination, not long after he manifested a portal. This is the first time I saw a portal, so I excitedly enter the portal before Aleron bringing me to Fhell. At first Fhell looks so beautiful and the scenery is captivating, but the air and atmosphere is hot.

"Welcome to Fhell, Lyra. As you can see, it is beautiful... But can you really manage to live here?"

I looked at Aleron.

"Don't worry, This heat is nothing compared to my tragic experience."

For a moment, Aleron looks worried, But then guide me for a tour.

"Do you know where all human souls are punished?"

Aleron asked while we walk together.

"Yes, after death, the human soul will be judged and if that soul broke a commandment, that soul is thrown to fhell."

"Yes, you're right. They are thrown there."

He pointed at the giant chasm full of souls. I can hear their screams for Justice, Vengeance, and Hatred.

"So that's where the humans are punished... I can feel their anger. Hestium... I will destroy you someday."

Aleron just looked at me and continued walking me to a tour.

"Anyways, you'll be living away from the Castle of Iffrin, I can't let the King know you, atleast for now." -Note: Iffrin is my made up name too.

"Fine by me. But what should I eat?"

Aleron pointed at a Tree that looks like a horn.(Meaning the tree has twin trunks)

"That's the Fhell's tree, it contains fruits that are said to tricked the first humans to betray the goddess. But those are just made up by the goddess to tell to humans that demons are malice beings, these trees never even grow to the human realm."

I nodded as Aleron continue to tour me while telling me some stories and the truth about anything. He also mentioned that there are angels who has fallen from the Hestium because of the Goddess's wrongful acts and unjustified thinking.

Hours later, Aleron bid me farewell for the time being as he needed to attend in the Castle of Iffrin. I made myself to the Tree of Fhell and grabs a fruit from it, taking a bite. At first I'm cautious but the fruit is actually sweet. Then after awhile I sat down in the tree taking a sleep.
