You turned around to see a tall, dark blue bunny. He had the stripes all over him just like your mask.
Cassie stepped closer to you and held on tight to your arm.
She seemed scared.
You pulled Cassie close.
"W-who are you?"
You said.
The bunny and his glitchy animating stepped closer.
"I am M.X.E.S, but you can call me glitch."
He said.
M.X.E.S has a deep voice with just a hint of British.
You didn't seem very frightened by him anymore.
"Ok....um...my name is Y/N and this is Cassie."
You said.
Cassie waved with a weak smile.
MXES gave her a warm smile and looked over at you with a more serious face.
"You need to leave. It's dangerous here."
He said, getting closer.
"But I'm here to save my friend!"
Cassie blurted out.
"What is his name?"
MXES asked, looking down at Cassie.
"His....his name is Gregory. He's my best friend, and I need to save him"
Cassie softy said.
"He sent me this message"
Cassie pulled her phone out of her pocket and played the message.
MXES eyes widened.
He looked uncertain about something.
You wanted to ask him why he had so much uncertainty, but the words never came out.
Cassie pressed the pause button and looked up at MXES.
MXES looked around.
He was hesitant to talk.
"That's not Gregory...that's an animatronic,"
MXES said,
"His name is the mimic. He was made to mimic voices and shape shift into anything its familiar with."
Cassie looked frightened but mad at the same time.
"There's no way! That's Gregory!!! I know him better than you do, and that's him!"
Cassie's eyes began to tear up, and you gave her a hug.
"Are you sure that's the mimic?"
You asked him.
MXES nodded.
He felt bad to hurt the little girls feeling, but did what he had to.
If he didn't than they would be in big trouble.
Loud banging sounds came from behind them and MXES turned around.
Monty was making the crashing sound by throwing things out of his way to crawl around.
MXES turned back to you and Cassie.
"We have to go. Come on!"
MXES pushed you two into a small room.
You and Cassie went into the corner of the room as instructed by MXES, and he went to lead monty away.
"What...the heck...just happened?"
Cassie said, holding on tight to you.
You slowly sat down in the corner with Cassie sitting next to you.
Eventually MXES came back.
He quickly went over to the corner you were into and knelt down.
"Please...don't mess with the nodes.
The nodes keep the mimic away from everything, and if he gets out...it will cause some serious issues."
You and Cassie nodded, and MXES backed up.
"Thank you."
He said.
You and Cassie exchanged frightened looks and when you two turned to look at MXES again.
He was gone
