You and cassie sat there for a while, waiting for his return.
But he never showed up, so you pulled cassie up to continue walking.
You started thinking about what he said and how the mimic is probably pretending to be Gregory.
"Cassie...I think at this point we should just look for the exit. Your friend, Gregory. That's not him."
You said to her calmly, so she would understand,
"And he might be perfectly fine somewhere!"
Cassie nodded slowly, looking at the ground.
You didn't know for sure if she agreed, but you wanted to get out of that place as soon as possible.
The only thing you would miss from here would be MXES.
You held Cassie's hand and led her out of the room.
After getting out of the room, you saw him again.
MXES.
He was fixing something to do with the security nodes.
You walked up to him, and touched him gently on the shoulder to get his attention.
He was startled for a little bit, but then turned around to see you and Cassie.
"Oh hello again. Do you need me for something?"
He asked.
Cassie nodded her head.
"We need help with finding my fr-"
Before Cassie could finish her sentence, you covered her mouth with your hand to shut her up.
"We need help with finding the exit!"
You said quickly.
You didn't want to find her friend because you knew he wasn't missing.
It was just the mimic playing dirty tricks with Cassie's mind.
It was silent for a little while.
MXES looked around, trying to think of the directions.
He hadn't been near the exit ever, so he had no idea.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know where the exit is, but I can help you on your journey there."
He said, smiling to calm the situation.
You sighed heavily.
You thought that anyone/thing who had been stuck here for months or even years should know such thing of how to get to the exit!
"We would love that!"
Cassie said before you could speak.
You nodded in agreement.
"Yes, we would."
MXES seemed to enjoy the company.
His smile grew, as he held your hand to walk with you.
He didn't want to lose you.
After all, this place is very large and there are hidden secrets to it.
You could be fine one minute and then end up underground somehow.
MXES was willing to protect the both of you, especially Cassie.
Since MXES always had a soft side for children.
Your mask was still stuck in your face, so you assumed it was like that for Cassie as well.
Maybe it does that when we're near MXES? I have no idea...
You thought as he continued to help you through some of the maze-like parts of the building.
Or what's left of it.
He helped you get onto the catwalks in Montgomery gator golf.
Cassie stumbled onto the platform, and almost fell off until MXES got a hold of her wrist and pulled her back to her feet.
"Thank you so much, glitch!!"
Cassie said, giving him a small hug.
Then returning back to your side.
MXES looked really happy and excited to have been given a hug.
Awww poor guy! He's probably never had this much company in a looong time!!
You continued to be led to the exit of Montgomery gator golf
(Not the exit of the pizzaplex! We still have a long ways to go!!).
You all stopped as you heard something crawling behind you quickly.
You all glanced at it for a millisecond.
It didn't take you long to find out it was Monty.
You held onto Cassie hand tighter and all three of you began to run.
You found a vent that was on the wall and you climbed up some boxes that were conveniently left under the high vent.
You helped Cassie into it first, and then Cassie helped you into it.
The vent was large enough to fit you both so you can stay beside each other.
You saw as MXES teleported to a different side of the catwalks, and Monty went towards him.
"Ok, Cassie. It looks like MXES...er...glitch...is distracting Monty,"
You said, lookin over at Cassie.
But she still was looking out the vent.
"So when I say 'go' we're going to jump out and run that way. To the exit"
You pointed toward the place were there was suppose to be a door there, but all you could see were a pool of water and boxes that you could hop on.
MXES led Monty farther away, and as he did that you said,
"GO!"
You and Cassie hopped out of the vent at the same time and headed for the pool of water.
