You and the mimic talked for a while.
Getting to know eachother.
He seemed like a innocent robot so far based off the fact his favorite color is pink.
Or that's just a stereotype....
"When is MXES coming to let you out?"
The mimic asked, tilting his head.
You didn't have an answer for him.
It was hard to believe it takes this long for MXES to find a way in.
You got up and walked over to the door with no knob on it.
The hole through the door where the knob was supposed to be was big enough for you to look out of.
You peeked through the hole and didn't see anything.
Not for a while.
After a few more seconds of looking, you began seeing A glowing light coming from in the hallway.
MXES!!!
You backed up far away from the door and headed over to the mimic again.
He was sitting criss-crossed and in a good posture. He was honestly just confused at this point.
"MXES is back! He's gonna get me out!"
You shouted with excitement.
The mimic clapped his hands for celebration, but he seemed a little upset about the news.
You peeked back through the hole and saw MXES right next to the door.
Cassie was next to him and she had the same idea as you.
She squatted down and peeked through the doorknob hole.
She saw your eyes and the mimic's glowing eyes from farther in the room and she gasped.
"Y/N! We're going to break the door down! Get out the way!"
She yelled.
You got up from your knees and went back over to the mimic, where it was safe.
You heard loud banging on the door and eventually it fell over.
It landed forcefully on the ground.
Dust flew from the floor all around the door and then went back down slowly.
MXES fanned the dust out of his way so he could find you.
He grabbed your hand and tried getting you out of the room, but you stopped him.
"Wait! Can we...take the mimic? He's...he's nice! And it's really sad how he's been here for a lo-"
You began but was cut off by MXES.
"He's not nice! He's probably pretending! He's really good at that."
MXES said, continuing to try and pull you out of the room.
Cassie stopped MXES too and looked over at the mimic.
She walked up to him and looked him dead in the eyes.
The mimic looked around with confusion.
After a while, Cassie sighed.
"He's not doing anything right now and he was left with Y/N in a room alone, so I think she might be telling to truth. Maybe he is nice"
Cassie smiled at the mimic, and he tried his hardest to exchange the expression.
MXES crossed his arms and stared at the mimic for a little while.
He still wasn't sure the mimic was nice, but he had to listen to Y/N.
He relied on her throughout everything.
"Ok...fine...the mimic can come, but if anything happens then I'm putting him back in here! No second chances."
MXES growled and began heading out of the room.
You and Cassie followed behind MXES and the mimic fell all the way behind you and Cassie.
It was kind of like a messed up line and MXES was the line leader.
The hallways felt darker then it did before.
So did MXES's glowing stripes.
Maybe it was just you.
The mimic caught up and began walking beside you.
"I'm excited to have friends! It's been a while. I miss my first friend"
The mimic said the last part sadly.
He looked at the ground.
"Who...who was your last friend?"
You asked him, curious to hear what the mimic had to say.
You had no idea why everyone fear such a robot. He seemed polite and kind. The only problem is that he looked a little creepy maybe, but to you he was kinda cute. Not in that way of course! You just saw something in him that not everybody noticed.
"His name was David. He was the best friend I've ever had. He...he passed away sadly. I still can remember that day and how his father was so angry at me fire no reason. I don't know what I did... it wasn't my fault...right? Did I hurt the kid? Was I the reason he went outside on his own?"
The mimic asked, looking at you and Cassie.
You didn't know what to say. That was a lot to take in....
Now you felt extra bad for this robot.
"I'm sure it wasn't your fault, mimic! What we're the good times with you and him? Maybe cheer you up?"
Cassie smiled, trying to make the atmosphere for happy or worthy of even being in.
"Oh, we did so much stuff! We drew pictures, played catch, played dress-up, and he even made me this cute little tiger that looked like his own tiger stuffed animal."
The mimic said happily.
He liked talking about the good times of his past because the present wasn't so bright.
MXES kept walking and continued to cross his arms with jealousy.
Finally, you four arrived at the place where there was the hallway you just came out of and the hallway to the kitchen.
"Finally!"
MXES grumbled.
"Why're you so grumpy, MXES?"
You asked him, stepping up to him.
"He's just mad cuz you were talking to another robot. He thinks your cheating!"
Cassie teased.
You chuckled and smirked.
"I swear I'm not cheating, MXES. Calm down"
Suddenly MXES grabbed your face. He cupped it with his hands and looked into your eyes.
"Stop. Just...stop."
He whispered.
You felt your face warming up and began blushing automatically.
"AAAAWWWW!!! Kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss!"
Cassie continued cheering and tapped on the mimics elbow, telling him to copy her.
The mimic chuckled.
"Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss!"
He began chanting as well.
MXES growled and let go of your face.
He then glared at both Cassie and the mimic.
"You guys stop too! Your not helping"
The mimic and Cassie paused and looked at each other. Cassie snorted and the mimic giggled.
MXES rolled his eyes and leaned on the wall.
"Where to next?"
You leaned in the wall on the other side and looked around, thinking.
"Hm....maybe the exit?"
You said sarcastically.
"Oh right....how could I forget?"
He laughed and got off the wall.
You got off as well and looked over at the mimic and Cassie.
Cassie and the mimic were measuring hand size differences by placing their hands together.
Obviously the mimics hand were bigger and he noticed you were looking at him. He waved and tried to mimic the smile you gave him later when you were talking to him in that room.
You waved back and returned the exact smile that he was trying to copy.
MXES watched as you two bonded,
His jealousy growing.
