"Ada get off me" Alejo groaned trying to pry his sister off of him "Ada!"

Ada didn't budge, she was in deep sleep dreaming her 6th dream of the night

Alejo sighed and tried to get out of his sister's arm which was wrapped around his waist. After a moment of trying he was set free and pulled the covers over his sister and walked to Ella's bathroom

Alejo stood before the mirror, his eyes fixed on the bruise that marred his face. The reflection stared back, revealing shades of purples and blues that marked the aftermath of the fight. His fingers lightly traced the edges of the bruise, a mix of pain and contemplation etched across his features. Each contusion told a story, a reminder of the raw intensity that had happened the day before.

"Fuck" He moaned touching the bruise a little hard

"Alejo?" Ada's croaky voice came from the room "In the bathroom" Alejo replied still looking at his bruises

Ada slowly got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom to see her brother looking at his bruises and touching them. It was worse than last night "Does it hurt?" She gently asked not moving from her place

Alejo turned and faced his twin, "No"

Ada slowly nodded and sent him a small smile, this was all her fault, it happened because of her. Her brother was a mess because of her.

"Ada, I swear to god get that shit out of your head now" Alejo's voice boomed

Ada looked up and teared up before hugging her brother "I'm sorry" She choked out

Alejo hugged his sister back tightly and ran a hand through her hair "Remember what I said yesterday, it's not your fault"

"Breakfast is ready" Adriel's voice came from the room "Where are you both?"

Alejo let go of his sister and wiped her tears from her face "Come on let's go eat" He said holding her hand gently

Ada sniffled and followed her brother "We're here" Alejo said to Adriel who was standing by the door frame of the bedroom

Adriel looked at Ada carefully "Have you been crying, Ada?" He asked coming closer to her "What's wrong"

Ada just shook her head "Nothing"

Adriel glanced at Alejo and let go of the issue "Come on, everyone's downstairs eating" He said smiling before walking downstairs

In perfect synchrony, Ada and Alejo descended the staircase, their steps harmoniously timed. The morning sunlight danced on their faces as they made their way down, casting a radiant glow on their features. As they reached the bottom of the stairs, a table of warmth unfolded before them – the dining table adorned with a spread of breakfast delights, and the air filled with the cheerful chatter of their family.

The twins exchanged a knowing glance, their bond evident in the unspoken understanding that passed between them. With shared smiles, they joined the familial table, their presence enhancing the sense of unity that filled the room.
