Today was supposed to be a normal day for Raelyn and Delaney. Raelyn was going to get her work Visa so she could stay and work in the United States while staying with her brother, Riftyn. Well, that did not happen, what ended up happening was the dead coming back alive to tear into anything with a heartbeat.

Raelyn had packed up her daughter Delaney in her brother's 1970 Ford Bronco, the one he bought when he first moved to the United States, ten years ago. He refused to get rid of the thing, it was his baby, he's basically made it brand new.

Raelyn strapped Delaney and her nephew Cooper, she couldn't look them in the eyes, knowing she'll break down from the frightening looks in their eyes. She was trying to be strong for them but it's hard when you have no idea what is happening either. Cooper continued looking at his aunt, wanting answers on why he was ripped out of his bed.

"Auntie Rae, what's happening?"

"Honey, let's just say, everything won't be the same anymore," Raelyn answered. She planned on going more in depth with her explanation but the front door to Riftyn's house flew open, catching her attention. He came out with his hands full of stuff they would need to survive. He had it packed for months when this whole people coming back alive was even mentioned on the news. He had blankets, canned foods, all the water he could find, and a minimum amount of clothes for each person. Anything you could think of he had for their survival. Raelyn shut the back seat door so she could open the back. Riftyn put the equipment in the back quickly, down the street you could hear the screams of people either being bitten or a loved one was getting bitten. The moans of the dead were getting closer making the two adults sweat.

Both Riftyn and Raelyn didn't hesitate to move into the vehicle, hoping into the front seats and driving off. It was ten o'clock when the wave of the dead started coming through their small town. Raelyn looked into the back seat to see both kids had fallen asleep, with a sigh she turned to her brother whose eyes were focused on the road in front of him.

"Where are we going Riftyn," Raelyn asked, calmly. She knew freaking out was the wrong idea, she only knew this from working as a paramedic for 10 years. Freaking out always made the situation worse.

"The outskirts of Atlanta. To see if there are any survivors or people who need any help. Going into the city is a bad idea, it's probably taken by now which means there will be survivors," Riftyn said, the military in him came out, wanting to help whoever he can.

Raelyn was the same way, the moment she heard the screams in their town she wanted to run towards it. She wanted to help every person who was screaming but she knew she couldn't. She had to be there for Delaney, Cooper, and Riftyn, They needed her as much as she needed them. They were her rock.

"Good plan, Rif. Did you pack all of my medical equipment," Raelyn asked, she had a whole duffle bag filled with medical supplies. She kept it in case something happened and she was needed in action.
