Germany pov:

-RING- -RING-

Germany: Hello?
Russia: Ayo, wassup, Germany
Germany: Oh hallo Russia, you finally found your phone
Russia: Yea, it was in the depths of my sofa. Also don't forget about tonight's party, you can bring a guest along
Germany: Alright, happy independence day!
Russia: thanks.
Germany: It's also Philippines' day as well
Russia: Yea I know, Sunshine Kid is also invited
Germany: She's probably gonna bring America with him
Russia: I don't like that fact
Germany: alright then, see ya
Russia: See ya
*Hangs up*

I got out from bed and went to the washroom, I got dressed and went out. I went into the café and saw Poland already seated at our spot, "Hey, Germany!" he greeted me in a bright mood with the sun shining through the window.

"Good morning, Poland," I replied as I seated in front of him. Norway got the usual latte for us, "Enjoy your daily date!" he teased as he left, "You ni-" I yelled back but Poland stopped me as he shook his head, I sighed and sat back down, "Are going to Ruski's Party tonight?" Poland asked after he took a sip of latte, "Yes, I'm going," I answered and took a sip of mine, "Can I come along?" he asked, "Of course! I was planning to bring you along anyways," I admitted.

I sauntered off to work with the Polish. We then took our attendance at the reception, "Are you two together?" Austria asked as she put her elbow on the desk, "Meine Bruder (My brother), all grown up with a boyfriend,". "Why is it always us?" I grumbled at her in exasperation as I blushed intensely, she tilted her head with a smirk, I huffed and just went with Poland to the office.

Me and Poland did our work together like usual, we then finished and headed to the party right away.

There were several other countries in the party, "Hey, Germany, Poland," Russia greeted us with a shot cup of vodka in his hand.

The Russian stood there in a grey snow jacket that was laced with fur around the neck and ends of it. Paired with it, was a pair of black snow boots. A large, soft ushanka hat that was designed with a red star in the middle rested on his head.

Russia was my brother, though our parents, Soviet and Third Reich were divorced. We were more in the friend-zone than actual brothers since we never really grew up together.

"Happy independence day by the way," I replied to my brother. I went to the balcony to get some fresh air, then the thought of Poland suddenly popped in my head.

How is he not scared of me or anything? I mean, it's not like I want him to be scared of me, it's just that...

"Hey, Germany!" Poland said and stepped in. Speak of the devil, "Poland, why are you here?" I stammered a bit startled, "I was wondering where you were," he admitted. He went beside me, I felt a bit ashamed for some reason.

Poland pov:

I wondered where Germany was so I went to find him, I eventually found the German at the balcony, alone.

"Hey Germany!" I greeted and stepped in, "Poland, why are you here?" he asked, "I was wondering where you were," I proclaimed and walked up next to him.

Both of us rested both our elbows on the bars of the balcony with the gentle ocean breeze in our faces. We admired the beautiful view of the glowing moon that dipped into the sea's horizon. The soft splashing of the waves was barely audible.

As the seconds ticked by, I felt a growing heaviness in my heart. I should let go of the guilt, but for some reason, there is like a boulder there.
