SUNGHOON'S POV
I lazily glanced at my wrist watch to check for the dismissal time. I just want to get out of this class and find my doll.
Curse Research and Mr. Ahn for his not so engaging class.
My phone started vibrating inside my pocket so I decided to check for my messages.
Not my sister.
sunghoon...
dad came home
what should I do
what?
stay there and wait for me
i'll be there okay?
don't be scared, I'm here
okay...
"Alright class dismissed—Park?! PARK!" I couldn't care less about the teacher calling for my name nor the people who I came across on the hallways. I need to go home.
I need to get to Yeji.
What does the fucker want now?
It felt like my blood started rising up the moment I saw a familiar black Mercedes-benz parked in front of the house. With heavy steps, I barged inside as I search for the person I was looking for. From where I stood, I saw Yeji nervously sitting down on the couch while a man sat in front her, peacefully drinking his tea.
"Why are you here?" His attention soon diverted to me with gaze as sharp as a dagger but since when did I care about that?
I've always hated how people used to point out that I looked so much like him, how our smiles resembled one another and more bullshts they could come up with. If there was one thing I could change in my life, it would be him.
"How's your grades?" He strictly asked, completely dismissing my question.
"Your lab rat is completely doing well" It's true. The fucker only comes home twice or even thrice a year to check up on us.
His concern? He only wants to see if we would be good enough to be heirs or his future businesses.
With big strides, he managed to get to me in a second before I was soon sent to the ground as his knuckle s made contact with my face. The strong metallic taste inside my mouth soon spread when I realized that I bit the inside of my cheek.
"To your room Yeji! Now!" I commanded, earning a small flinch from her but still followed what I ordered. Soon, I met one of the servants gaze who was peeking from the kitchen so I signed her to follow my sister upstairs.
Although dizzy, I got back on my feet and stared at him straight away.
"Who told you to speak to me that way bratt? I didn't raise you like this"
He's so fcking shameless.
"You? Raising me? You were barely there my whole life and we both know that" I firmly spat before forcefully pushing him away from me and finally leaving the house.
At some point in our life, we all probably have reached our breaking point. It's either you were triggered by a thing or someone or maybe you've just had enough.
I'm so tired and sick of the past, of the people and everything that has been weighing me down. Sometimes, it just gets too tough that you just don't know what to fucking do but breathe.
