Festival week (DAY 1)

SUNOO'S POV

I sat down on one of the benches as I watch how students from other schools enter the place. It looked so lively and fun, not until I saw students from my old school. I didn't know they would be competing for sports and I'm afraid I will have to stay low for awhile. Meeting them would be at the least of my priority at the moment.

"Ni-ki! That picture better be awesome" I stated as soon as I noticed him arriving and taking a picture of me. He chuckled before taking a seat beside me and showing me a candid photo of myself which turned out quite well.

"You're on photography today?"

"Yup! I'm doing my duty for the photography club since I would be playing a basketball match tomorrow" he answered, casually browsing photos of students from his DSLR camera.

He's such an active kid.

"Sunoo-yah...I wanted to talk to you" both of our attention shifted to Jake hyung who just approached us.

He looked somewhat sad when he noticed me slightly leaning back from his presence. Although he already said sorry, I still couldn't help but to feel wary around him.

It's just...a me problem.

"What are you doing here hyung? Do you want to beat him up again?" Ni-ki started, not even bothering to look at the older.

"I didn't beat him up Ni-ki"

"If you say so" Ni-ki answered calmly. I was quite shock the last time he found out about what happened between me and Jake hyung, he got really mad and started grumbling about how he was now beyond the sulking stage and was straight up mad.

"I need to talk to Sunoo, can I please talk to him Ni-ki? Alone?" Jake hyung politely asked, not minding Ni-ki's salty attitude towards him. Ni-ki glared at him so I immediately nudged him using my elbow.

I know he's angry but he shouldn't glare at an older person like that.

"Whatever, I'm leaving now" he coldly spat before waiving me goodbye while ignoring Jake. As far as I can remember, Ni-ki is the type to sulk and really takes a while for him to be okay again.

He's at that age.

"I'm sorry again Sunoo...but I seriously won't take back what I said"

"I said it's okay hyung" I awkwardly said, trying to hide the fact that I'm a little uncomfortable with him, seating beside me.

"Please don't be scared of me hmm? How about this... Should I buy you ice cream?" I  wasn't able to respond when he reached for my hand and started dragging me to the snack house, not bothering to let me go.

For some reason, his smile somehow calmed me down. Gone was the scary up front I've seen from him a few days ago.

Of course. He's still the Jake hyung I know.

"I'll get you the mint chocolate"

"Okay hyung" I replied, smiling, assuring him that we're okay. I'm not the type to hold grudges anyway. I took the mint choco ice cream he bought for me before we both decided to head to the gymnasium where the program will be starting soon.

Jungwon told me that he'd meet me here soon because he was running late so I guess being with Jake hyung would be fine for now.

"Good day our fellow students!" My heart started beating as soon as it recognizes its owner.
