Lying in his bed in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts which he was forced to change into by his foster mother, Spider sighed for the fifth time since he laid down. He couldn't help but think of the life you are probably having right now, a fresh start in high camp with your avatar body, together with your dad and the Sully's. Probably soon, you'd get your own ikran, and maybe even be able to fight alongside the Na'vi. These thoughts made the jealousy inside him grow, aside from just being happy for you for getting what he might never get for the rest of his life.
His thought got cut short when he heard a tink, quickly followed by another from the window to his right. He sat up, immediately noticing four blue figures waving at him. It took him a moment to realize aside from Kiri, Lo'ak and Tuk, that the fourth "Na'vi" was you. Your new look will surely take him a long time to get used to.
Hopping out of bed jovially, all gloominess that was within him disappearing, he quickly took off his shirt as if it was an extra weight on him, then changed back into his usual loin cloth. Throwing on a mask, he ran out of his room, even his steps got lighter from his excitement.
"You came back!"
"Like I'd ever leave you monkey boy." Kiri gave him a knowing smile, "Let's go!"
You by her side pushed back the urge to throw him a hug, since the five of you are obviously in a hurry to get out of Hell's Gate. It's just hard to imagine that you almost went on to live a new life without him, him who was the closest thing to a brother you've had while growing up.
Tiptoeing in the darkness, all of you could only wish that you could make it out of here without being seen. That was however, just a wishful thinking.
"Stop right there! Don't move!" With that loud voice followed a bright flashlight, so bright that all of you immediately shielded your faces with your hands.
"Spider? What the hell!" It was Nash McKosker, followed by two other men whom you did not recognize.
"It's the Sully kids..." one of them said as he looked towards you all, but when his eyes landed on you, he ignored you. It took you a second to realize that none of them recognized you. Of course, only a few were aware of your avatar which was in the makings for many years, and McKosker who is no scientist wasn't one of them. Despite all these years that you have lived in Hell's Gate, McKosker rarely paid attention to you for he had no reason to. He is hardly familiar with your human features, so now, it was only normal for him not to recognize you in your avatar body.
"Uh...we were just going Mr. McKosker." Lo'ak tried his best to sound casual, pretending like all of you were not trying to "steal" Spider, but instead were all just here for a visit.
"No hang on a minute, you kids want to help me do something really important?"
~~~
"Hey let us out! My dad's gonna mess you up!" Lo'ak started slamming at the door the moment all four of you got pushed and locked inside.
"Lo'ak, seriously?" You were the quickest to calm down of them all. "If they were afraid of your dad messing them up, they won't have the guts to lock us here in the first place." You looked at Kiri in frustration as the two of you both came for Spider, but now you were all separated from him again.
"Why are they doing this?" Lo'ak asked, obviously confused.
"McKosker's not on our side anymore, he's taking us hostage to prove his loyalty to the RDA, probably to threaten your parents...." before you could finish your sentence, you glanced up at Kiri, both of you all of the suddenly realizing something horrifying.
