3rd person POV

As Xen was growing up they had 4 siblings and well their parents weren't the best but they weren't bad enough to be abusive just ignored them. They were mostly excluded in most family events but they didn't mind, they enjoyed the quiet time. But it caused them to gain some voices in their head that they would talk to.
1st person POV

While I grew up I realized that I didn't eat often and eventually I think my parents caught on cause they eventually took me into the doctors to get me checked out. After the doctor ran some tests, he said that I had some sort of eating disorder. I didn't know what the hell that was but the doctor said I needed to get enough calories per day.
Eventually once I turned 16 I snuck out with a small bag. I snuck onto a boat that was going to an island called the Faction Isles.
Once the boat got to the island I hid in a barrel. 'Dang I'm flexible for being 5'5..' Once the barrel was placed on the docs I got out of the barrel with ease. I then decided to walk around the island, eventually I got to a middle point and noticed someone pacing around. I walked up to them and they brightened up.
"Oh hello!! Are you here to join a faction?" They asked.
"Oh.. uhm.. sure!" I responded. The person then ran up the stairs and came back after about five minutes handing me a piece of paper. The paper has the word nightingale written on it.
"What is this?" I asked.
"The faction that you get to join!" The person said happily.
"Oh.. okay!" I said happily. The person then pushed me out of the door. I then had to venture around to find the nightingales area.
