"the train to angel city will depart
 from: platform 3
in: 30 minutes"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 the train station was crowded. people were rushing to get to the right platform, running from one side of the place to the other. in all that loud mess, one tall, masked figure could be spotted standing in front of the train departure timetable.
he didn't seem to rush anywhere, he was fully focused on the screen, not paying attention to the by passers at all.
" -angel city departures?"
kai mizuki felt a tap on his arm. his attention turned to a girl who looked not much younger than him.
"finally! I've been repeating the same sentence forever now. do you know when the next train to angel city departures?" "i- it's on the screen right there"
she looked up to him, waiting for an answer still, not bothering to look away from his gaze.
"listen, i don't have much time, why can't you just answ-"
"16:33. the next train departs at 16:33, you have thirty minutes"
a look of terror passed through her eyes. as if the world collapsed on her. "i can’t believe it… i can't believe this is happening to me”
zuki stood there, confused as to why the stranger was still talking to him, tears forming in her eyes. “this is such a mess! if only- ugh” her tone was frustrated, angry almost. zuki definitely tried, but didn't understand what was happening, which just seemed to make the girl more upset.
after what seemed like forever, he finally asked that fateful question. "so uh, what happened?"
people were starting to crowd around them, curious what was going on.
"what happened?"  her voice got louder. almost shouting at him.
“-i try my best to make this work- and they just- “they can’t take me or this trip seriously?! i asked them a million times to get here by 14:00 and-” by that time all zuki could hear was a flow of incomprehensible words, mixed with crying- it was impossible to understand.
she stopped to breathe, and maybe to give the boy in front of her time to process it all.
to say zuki was shocked was an understatement. he took a step back. "miss, i don't know what you mean but if there is anything i can do to help-"
she took a deep breath, trying to sort out her thoughts. this can't be, why me? is he serious right now? she thought.
"listen, i don't need your help, not now, it's too late now and this trip is ruined and-"
whispers were starting to be heard from around, people seemed to be invested in the two stranger's connection.
"lady, i really don't know what's wrong… but if i can help-" "no no no everything is fine i don't need your help just- ugh-" zuki took a step back. confused more with each second passing.
it was then when the realisation hit her. she looked around for a few seconds before bringing her gaze back to him, and sighed.
"i am so so sorry- oh my god i don't know what happened to me- im sorry for bursting out at you like this- "but everything is such a mess right now"
a flow of incoherent words came straight after that.
"it's alright..." zuki was relieved to see she finally understood he had no relation to her.
"no no i really am sorry, i was just supposed to meet my friend after a year and oh god- i'm so sorry i burst out on you like that-"
she was all over the place.
 "i'm choi yewon by the way, sorry for not introducing myself properly." "great to know." his voice was awkward, not knowing what to do next.
"the 16:33 train to: angel city
departures in: 7 minutes
from: platform 3"
a voice sounded through the station speakers.
"isn't that your train?" he then asked, eyes turning to the screen.
how did 20 minutes go by so fast?
"oh fuck thank you so much and again sorry-" she rushed away to find the right platform,
not noticing that behind her zuki was walking calmly to the same platform.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

"that was wild like you don't even understand!!! she was so upset and yelled at him and he had no idea what was happening!"
sitting on her large suitcase in the station was a girl, talking on her phone to her best friend.
"wait so let me get this straight. her boyfriend-" "friend" "right, friend- ditched her for whatever reason and she took out all her anger on that guy that caused her to miss the train? chae that's so odd"
"i know right! wait my train is in like 7 minutes I'll talk to you later"

she sighed as she looked up to the timetable screen. "byebye chaeyoung, don't forget me when you get to school with all the rich people"
the voice on the other line didn't sound too happy. she didn't want to lose her best friend.
"of course i won't forget you, how could i forget my best friend minnie? anyways byebye"

chaeyoung hung up the phone and started to walk to the platform. a giant suitcase following her and thoughts filled her head. she was finally doing it- after years she finally got accepted into her dream school, and today is when her journey begins.
she tried to keep her mind away from the negative thoughts- talking to new people, losing her old ones and the journey there alone, it was almost too much. she put in her earphones and turned on some music in hope that it will calm her down.

she didn't even notice that she had arrived at the platform. it was crowded, less crowded than the area above yet still she felt nervous from the amount of people.
she looked around, hoping to find someone familiar- so she won't have to share a wagon with strangers for the next week. the only faces she found somewhat familiar were of the boy and girl from earlier, the ones she told minnie about.

she looked at the clock. 3 minutes. people were gathering around the edge of the platform. with every second that passed the train was getting closer.
1 minute. that's it, there was no going back now. in a minute she would step on a train that would take her across the continent.

in a minute she would be making her final steps towards her dream.

"the train to: angel city
will arrive to: platform 3
in: one minute.
please step away from the yellow line."

another announcement was made through the loudspeakers.

from afar, chaeyoung could hear the roaring noise of the engine. people all looked on in anticipation over the railway for the train to arrive.
with each second passing the sounds became unbearable, louder and louder as the train got closer.

just as the clock hit 16:33, she saw the locomotive. the train has arrived.

the speed of its arrival had created a wave, a mixture of wind and dust that hit those standing near the tracks.

the train stopped, the sounds were getting quieter and quieter, and with a ding the doors opened.
