"Washington Governor Christine Gregoire Approves R74"

"Oh fuck- oh my god," Ailis was at home alone, shouting around the house. Sea Monkey was around her, barking with her in his excitement. "Come on, come on, pick up, pick up," Ailis was tapping on the counter while trying to get a hold of Mia at work. Sometimes she wasn't allowed to have her phone on her to ensure she was in compliance with HIPPA.

"Hey, great timing I just got on my lunch," Mia's voice came through the phone.

"Baby, it went through," Ailis grinned, still looking at the news article. "She passed the bill."

"Holy shit really?" Mia said. Ailis wiped her face, unable to stop smiling.

"Yeah, really. We can get married," she responded. "We can finally get married."

"Holy shit, we got so much to do. We gotta get a license and set a date, but oh my fucking god," she sounded like she was laughing and crying.

"I'll get all of the appointments set, oh my god," she started laughing as well. They'd been waiting for this day for two years, hoping it would come but never really sure. She had the ring but she still had to officially propose and get everything set up. "Okay, I'm gonna go- I gotta make some calls but I love you so fucking much Mia and I cannot wait to meet you at the altar."

"I- I love you too," Mia said with a watery laugh. "I love you and I'll see you later."

"I love you," she blew a kiss into the phone before hanging up, rushing around. She had to get her keys and the ring and she needed to go get some decorations and it suddenly didn't feel like she had enough time. Mors. She was gonna go pick him up from school early to help her, wanting their son involved as well. She rushed out the door and hopped in her truck, heading for the school.

"Mom!" Mors came running into the office with a massive smile but still looking confused.

"Hey, buddy!" She hugged him, kissing the top of his head a few times. She got a few dirty looks from the administration, but she ignored them as she led him out.

"Is there a doctor's appointment I forgot about?" He asked, holding her hand and looking up at her. Stop getting bigger, dammit.

"Something like that," she said as she bustled him to the truck and loaded him up. Once they were both in, she turned to him with a grin. "Guess what, buddy?"

"Chicken butt."

"Ha! Nice," she chuckled, high-fiving him. "But no, something even better. Me and Mom can finally get married!"

"Really?" He started bouncing in his seat with a wide smile. "Can I be the flower boy?"

"Of course," she agreed. "But I picked you up early so you can help me get everything ready to ask your mom to marry me. I know we all already talked about it, but the proposal is very big and important, and you're the only one I trust with this."

"On a top-secret mission, got it! Can we call this- um- Mission Triceratops? After mom's favorite dinosaur?"

"Perfect," she nodded, turning around. "Starting engines!" She called, cranking the truck to life.

"All systems are good!" Mors shouted.

"Mission Triceratops is a go, I repeat it is a go! Count us down, Astronaut Mors!" She checked the mirrors.

"Three, two, one, blastoff!" She put the truck in drive and took off, heading for the nearest party store to get some decorations.
