People are really weird creatures. If you take an animal, a lion for example, and another lion of the same kind. And you figure out a way to be able to tell what they're thinking, I bet you their thoughts wouldn't be that much different.

Now if you do the same to two humans, you'll only have a 5% chance to find a similar thought. Because humans are more developed and more powerful and strong, until they become attached to something.

I used to thing that those type of attachments were ruining the human kind, making people week and less independent. So I had this whole thing about getting rid of an object after it has reached five years of use, in fear of getting attached to it. I also had this other theory about never getting married and getting a normal job because I was also afraid of getting attached to a life style.

But I had a compete change of heart last year when I was forced to leave my best friend and the girl I was in love with behind in order to travel the world. That's when I realized that even though I had managed to not get attached to an object or a life style, I was crazy attached to them. Getting unattached was not a choice for us, so we tried e-mailing, skyping and calling each other every day. That went on for a few months but then started getting harder and harder each day.

They were making other friends and I was getting busy with interviews and at last, despite all the pinky swears and promises they had made me make, separation was inevitable.

The point of this long mess of a post is that I realized, attachments do not weaken but empower the human kind. Your attachment to what ever it is you are attached to is what keeps you going every day.

Artists' attachment to music is why we have music. Writers' attachment to writing is why we have books and my attachment to journalism is the reason I'm here right now.

So as always, have a good weekend and I'll talk to you next week.
