That night Ren was up late thinking about the events that transpired. Why didn't she run? She could've died and I couldn't do a thing. Ren thought about the actions of his master over and over, not being able to come to any conclusion.

"I need to go for a walk." He whispered to himself as he got up from his haystack and made his way outside.

Ren did this quite often in this world as it was a way for him to relieve his stress. During this walk his mind drifted to every event he's had so far being in this world, until the watch pops into his head.

"Oh yeah, almost forgot about this thing."

Ren observed the watch wondering what it does.

"It clearly doesn't tell the time..."

Maybe if I push this button... Ren thought curiously.  With one swift motion he pushes the button causing it to pop up and display a hologram of some type of creature. Ren's curiosity made him poke the hologram.

"This is pretty cool..."

Turning the dial, Ren was met with about ten other hologram creatures. When he grew bored of observing the holograms he decided to put the watch back down into place, hoping it would go away, but instead it started to glow.

I think I messed up... he thought nervously as the glow surrounded his entire body. He could feel his body changing. Once the glow was gone, Ren noticed he seemed taller than before, so to check he ran to the pond where he washes Louise's clothes.

Looking into the pond, he didn't see his normal face... He saw the face of a fire guy.

"Wah, that's not me!" Hearing his new sounding voice he got even more spooked. "That's not my voice!" He ran around in circles scared and confused, for what seemed like ten minutes until he was out of breath.

"W-what happened to me...?" He spoke dreadfully, fearing that he'll never be normal again. Feeling down, he began to hear a beeping sound. "Wh-what is that..?" Looking to his chest he saw the watch symbol flashing from green to red.

"Please don't be a bomb.."

Closing his eyes for what he thought was impending danger, once the beeping stopped he felt his body morph again. This time becoming a height he was more accustomed to.

Looking at his hands, he felt a sense of relief to see they were human, he even double checked in the pond just in case.

"Thank god, I'm me again! I-I gotta tell Louise!"

Wait, should I tell her..? Ren reluctantly thought. With everything that happened already, I might just keep this to myself for now.

With that thought he ran back to Louise's room and went to sleep.

The next morning...

At the Tristain Academy of Magic, there was much commotion from the last night's events, just as though a wasp's nest had been stirred.

Why? Because the Staff of Destruction had been stolen.

And it was brazenly stolen by using an Earth Golem to break through the wall of the vault.

The teachers of the Academy of Magic who gathered inside the vault were speechless when they saw the gaping hole in the wall.

The inscription on the wall etched by Fouquet the Crumbling Dirt said it all:

[I have the Staff of Destruction. – Fouquet the Crumbling Dirt.]

At this point in time, all the teachers at the academy could do was gripe and whine
