"Zee!" Nicolas shouts at his slightly older brother as he makes his way through their small apartment.
"Oui?" Zaylen questioned, he doesn't know why he feels the need to yell, the apartment is very small and the walls are thin, you can talk normally and still hear it from the other room. [French Translation: Yes?]
"I don't like Christian."
"Pourquoi?" [French Translation: Why?]
"English Zaylen. English."
"Pourquoi?" [French Translation: Why?]
"Because Mom said so, we are in America so we speak English, I don't want her to be mad at you again for speaking French." He replied sympathetically, he knows how much his brother hates speaking English but last time she heard him speaking French she had locked the small boy out of the apartment for 2 days, Nico had to sneak some food and blankets outside because it was quite cold.
He doesn't know why she hates it so much, it's not even like America has a national language, he will speak English when talking to people outside the family since French isn't as common here compared to Spanish or something but when talking to the family, he doesn't see the point.
"Fine. Why do you not like Chris?" Zaylen decided to turn the conversation back to the original point.
"Dunno. He's kinda weird."
"You are weird."
"Not that kind of weird." He sighed, "I don't know how to explain it, he feels off if that makes sense... I don't want you to get hurt, just be careful around him... Yes?"
Zee lightly giggled, "Sure but I think you are being a little dramatic."

Suddenly Zaylen's almost perfect dream was interrupted by the sound of shuffling throughout his bedroom.
"W-what are you l-look-ing for." He questioned without bothering to open his eyes, he already knew who it was as she is the only one that aggressively searched through his belongings.
"Your laptop, Tommy broke mine." Josephine says simply.
Truthfully, Zaylen isn't even surprised, Thomas often throws whatever he can get his hands on and their sister's laptop is often his first victim for whatever reason. It's not the first time and it likely won't be the last.
