"You can't force me not to see charlie!"

"Until your grades go up you will not speak or see him unless it's in school and even then I forbid it"

I run out of the living room and into my bedroom

My mom won't let me see you until I get my grades up.

It's okay we can still text and see each other at school right?

That's the thing...she doesn't want me to text you either and she 'forbids' us to talk in school

SHE CANNOT BE SERIOUS.

Let's look on the bright side. I'll get all my assignments done tonight and by tomorrow after school she'll forget all about it

"What? No"

"now" she said putting out her hand

"Mom please I won't talk to him"

"I don't believe you. Give it to me"

I look down at my phone and Charlie texted back

You can do it! I believe in you. See you tomorrow 😘

Before I can text back my mom snatches my phone out of my hand

"MOM! Jesus"

"This is gone for a week, if you keep this attitude up it'll be gone for good"

I didn't dare say another word.

I finish my last assignment and check the time 6:57am

"Shit I'm going to be late for school"

I get up and change quickly then head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Ugh I look terrible

I grab my book bag and rush to the door

"Nick breakfast" my mom says

"I have to leave I'll be late"

"I can drive you"

I turn around and look at her...is she serious

"No thanks I'll walk"

I leave the house and start walking to school

Once I get here I feel like the centre of attention

"Jesus Nick you look terrible" Tao said
