The rest of the day passes by in a blur, I manage to act as though everything's normal at break, but I can feel nicks eyes on my constantly.
Charlie knows something happened, of course he does, but he has the sense and respect not to bring it up in front of the others
It comes as a huge relief when the bell signalling the end of the day Finally rings
Charlie: I'll walk you home y/n
Y/N: charlie... are you sure that's ok with your mum?
Charlie: yeah yeah she won't mind
Y/N: okay um... see you guys tomorrow
Tao: bye guys
Elle: see you tomorrow
Isaac: byeee
Charlie takes my arm and begins to walk
Charlie: so do you wanna tell me what happened earlier?
Y/N: he... we almost... but then
Charlie: what?
Y/N: nothing really happened, he just came into the corridor to see if I was ok then i came back in the classrooom
Charlie: you and I both know that's not true but i won't pressure you to say anything about it just yet ok

He squeezes my arm a little tighter

I say, pointing at my house
Charlie: I'll walk you to the door
Y/N: thank youuu
Angie: HI Y/N- oh! Who's this?
Y/N: this is my friend Charlie
Charlie: nice to meet you
Angie: would you like a cup of tea charlie?
Charlie: I shouldn't, mum will want me home, but I might take you up on that offer soon!
Angie: you're welcome here anytime!
Y/N: bye charlie
I give him a quick hug then watch as he walks down the street, waving goodbye
Angie: he seems nice
Y/N: he's lovely, and he's been through so much
I make my way up the stairs and see I have a new message from nick. I debate not even opening it, surely the best way to get over nick is to erase him. But, after earlier, I think I have to see

Nick: so I saw that there's a dog in your profile picture? Is he yours?
Y/N: yea his name is Desmond he's a sweetheart
Nick: awww! He should meet my dog, Nellie!
Y/N: you have a dog as well!?
Nick: hell yeah! We could take them out on walks together
Y/N: that would be great
I put my phone down and beam at the ceiling. Damn it nick Nelson, I'm falling all over again.
