Dressed only in a plush green robe, Savannah rushes down the stairs after her shower, craving a snack before bed. She struggles to decide between a healthy option or something that will satisfy her cravings but not add a few pounds to her figure.
As she passes a photo of her handsome husband, she can't help but miss his presence. Despite working on their marriage, he still hasn't moved back in and she can't help but feel a bit frustrated. Her thoughts begin to drift to the situation with her therapist and mother-in-law, causing conflicting emotions to arise.
On one hand, Savannah wonders if she's overreacting to the lunch meeting between Lori and Valerie. She has no proof that they were discussing her and doesn't want to jump to conclusions. But on the other hand, she can't help but wonder why Lori didn't tell her about their lunch date. Knowing that she withheld that information from her, causes many questions to run through her mind, but no answers seem to come.
The sudden notification of motion at her front door startles her, causing her to immediately check her phone's camera; she sees that it's Wesley. Confused and annoyed, she whispers to herself, "What the hell is he doing here?" Despite her reservations, she goes to the front door and swings it open, only to confront Wesley's unexpected presence. "Why the fuck are you here?" she asks in frustration.
Ignoring her question, Wesley casually asks, "Damn, good evening to you too. Can I come in?" Without waiting for a response, he makes his way into her house.
"Excuse me! Get the hell out of my house! You have no right to be here!" she exclaims, taken aback by his audacity.
Ignoring her protests, Wesley retorts, "If you don't calm your ass down. What have you been up to?" Their tense interaction highlighting the lack of boundaries and respect in their relationship.
Savannah's mind is in turmoil as she hasn't spoken to Wesley since their heated argument over the phone a few weeks ago. It's clear that they have nothing left to say to each other. "Wesley, I have no desire to speak to you anymore and you are well aware of that."
"Please, just hear me out. I need to talk to you."
She rolls her eyes so hard, she's surprised they didn't get stuck. Letting out a sigh, she reluctantly agrees, "Fine, but you have ten minutes. That's it." She closes her door and stands with her arms crossed, waiting for him to speak.
"I'm sorry for everything that happened the other day. I was..." Wesley trails off, unsure of how to continue.
"Doing the most, that's what you were doing. And for what?" Savannah closes her robe tightly to avoid any accidental openings. "I knew you couldn't handle this," she shakes her head in disbelief and walks back to her kitchen.
Wesley following closely behind her, "See, there you go..."
:Yeah, there I go because it's true! Before you started with your bullshit, we had a great thing going. We would hook up and then go on with our lives; no strings attached. Why did you have to make it so complicated? It didn't have to be this way. Now I want nothing to do with you. You only have one chance to threaten me."
"I was just talking shit, you know I wouldn't say anything to Malik."
Shaking her head, she walks into her kitchen with Wesley following closely behind. "No, I don't know that. Instead of handling it like a mature adult, you acted like a jealous ass bitch." She hates using derogatory terms, but in this moment, she can't help but feel like he's acting like a complete bitch.
"Are you going to let the past go?" he asks as he sits down on the barstool.
"Let the past go? Ni--," she stammers, unsure of what to say. She glances at the time on her cell phone, "you have seven minutes to finish saying what you need to say."
