when nessa woke up, she couldn't stop smiling, the whole drive down to her family's beach house in cousins was the best car ride to date ! she drove with her older brother conrad so she could sing taylor swift and lana del rey in peace without her younger brother jeremiah trying to sing along or switch the playlist.
"so someones excited to see their boyfriend..." her brother laughed.
"yes yes now shut up cardigan is coming on and i can't be disturbed !!"
"yes ma 'am connie is proceeding to shut up." he said with a quiet chuckle.
she smiled knowing he still used her childhood nickname that she gave to him.
when she was younger she could never fully say conrad so she said "connie", which later evolved into "connie bonnie."
ness was thrilled to see her boyfriend, steven conklin. every day leading up to the date she was excited to see the boy she fell in love with.
meanwhile the boy felt the same way about her.

"steven stop at the gas station." his mom laurel said.
"mom nooo, he's gonna text nessa and then it's gonna be an hour long phone call till we arriveeee." belly whined
"you're just mad because taylor isn't coming on the trip." Steve said while rolling his eyes,
"shut up"
steven missed his girlfriend dearly. he last saw her it was when she had been released from the hospital for a broken arm.

it was time to see him.
nessa was never really to concerned when it came to looks but she felt the need to look her best.
wearing a black miniskirt and navy blue fitted shirt she pulled down her skirt to get out wrinkles and waited by the window.
as soon as she saw the iconic conklin car she ran out the door.
"steven !!" she screamed practically jumping into the boy's open arms.
"it's my girl !!" he exclaimed clutching onto her and kissing her hair.
"i missed you so much." she said softly.
steven nodded his head in agreement before leaning down and giving her a kiss.
this wasn't a usual kiss.
this one was filled with passion and love.
before seeing each other, they hoped it would be the best summer yet. they were in love of course.
time to take off the rose tinted glasses cause things are about to get real.
