The universe really had it out for you, it truly did only you would get sick on the day the next book of your favorite series was supposed to to come out...instead of being outside in a line waiting for it you were in bed with a cold.

"My Schatz, what are you doing in bed? Shouldn't you be getting ready to go get your new book?" Konig asked.

"I don't feel good Konig, pretty sure I have a cold so I won't be going to get it sadly." You said as you broke out in a sneezing fit.

Koing frowned at your words as he gently placed a hand against your forehead feeling how hot you were.

"Stay right here, I'm gonna get you so medicine and I'm gonna make you some of my moms soup." He said.

A few minutes later, he returned with a bowel of soup that smelled delicious, and handed it to you. You ate it already feeling so much better but you were pretty sure that was just from the fact that Konig was taking care of you.

"That was delicious, thank you." You said giving him a small smile.

"No need to thank me, it was my pleasure, now I'm gonna take this and I'll be back with some medicine that I think might help you." He said.

"Okay thank you." You said to him.

A few minutes later he returned with some medicine from the infirmary and offered it to you, saying that it would help you rest and start getting better.

"How are you feeling Schatz?" He asked after you took your medicine.

"A little better, thank you Konig." You said shifting slightly so you could get some rest.

He stayed with you until you fell asleep and then quietly left your room and was determined to go pick up your book that you've been wanting. The truth was is that Konig has always harbored a not so secret crush on you since he arrived at the base, and how you were nice and unafraid of him despite his reputation.

"Hey keep an eye on y/n, I need to run out and grab something real quick." Konig said to Ghost.

"Okay and where you are going?" He asked even though he had a feeling.

"Out I need to pick something up for her. Can you watch over her or not?" Konig asked.

"I'll watch over her, while you go do what you need to do." Ghost said.

"Thank you, I'll be back soon." Konig said before heading out and towards the bookstore.

After standing in line for almost thirty minutes, he finally got the book you've been wanting and made his way back to the base. He ignored the look Ghost gave him when he walked in with the bookstore back and made his way towards your room. He saw you were still asleep, so he gently placed the book on your nightstand and left you be for a bit.

When you woke up a few hours later, you were shocked to see the newest copy of your favorite book sitting on your bedside table making you confused. You sat up and grabbed it wondering who could'v possibly went it got it for you until it hit you that Konig disappeared for a few hours and you hoped that he was the one who had went and gotten it for you.

"Thank you for this, you didn't have to go out and go get it for me." You said looking at him as he took a seat on the bed next to you.

"I'd do anything for you My Schatz." He said smiling at you even if you couldn't see it.

You hesitated before you leaned over and very gently lifted his mask just enough to plant a kiss on his cheek before laying back down. Konig smiled at your action still processing that you did that before he laid next to you and grabbed your book and started to read it to you.
