"You're so lucky , you got the class prince." They gushed
Secretly envious but nevertheless Smiling.

Looking at the thin silk handkerchief
in my hands , his gift.
So Beautiful, yet so...

"I got it specially made" he said
"It'll never fade nor will it's stitches
Loosen just like my love for you."

"Awwwn." The girls 💑 around
us cooed.
"You should keep it safe"
" No, close to your heart " " no..."
The voices went on until they were blurred out.

For many days I kept it safe.
Safe from prying eyes .
Safe from evil.
To ward evil off of it.

Until , I took it out and
admired it.
Didn't notice a thing .

Few days later , I looked at the
handkerchief,
A few stitches were broken
right in the middle , where the ❤️
was embroidered.
I shrugged it off as always , nothing
would happen.

It didn't take long before I went to
check it , my new found hobby.
That was when I saw it,
a hole and it had a tiny beam of light 💫
streaming in.

It was rough work but I patched
it up nevertheless.
no one would notice right.
but deep in my heart I felt
Uneasy.

"I love you." He said it .
A foolish smile hanging on his lips.
I smiled back at him a foolish smile on
my lips.
"Are you taking care of my heart" he asked , a little wrinkle in his eyes.
I looked at him blankly
" My handkerchief "
" Oh !, I'm taking care of it. "

But , I lied 😔.
Because the next time I held it,
A gaping hole 🕳️was there.
And that same hole appeared in my
Heart.
