Five (soyeon)

I woke up next to yuqi, for some reason I felt exhausted, my bones hurt and my eyes burnt, I touched my face gently, specifically under my eye, and there were dry tear marks and messy mascara.

But how? I haven't cried last night, not at all. Unless....

I was probably having one of those nightmares where I end up crying in my sleep with out noticing.

Despite having a fucked dating history of toxic relationships, there was one that really stood out, my relationship with miyeon.

Thinking about that made me wonder, yuqi said one of her best friends was named miyeon.

Yuqi never told me her full name though, the miyeon I dated was Cho miyeon, I highly doubt she's yuqis friend.

I probably had another one of those fucked dreams where I was still with miyeon.

The dreaded days where I would cry myself to sleep every night.

And everyday there was a different problem between us, but i couldn't just break up with her, I loved her.

I was so attached to her it just made it harder to endure the pain I received everyday.

Yuqi started turning and tossing in the bed she stopped and faced me and started to wake up slowly.

"hey." she said softly

"hi." I replied in the same manner

. . .

We got up and yuqi made some scrambled eggs, we sat down on the table to eat, there was a silence for a bit

"what was the full name of your friend miyeon?" I asked

"why?"

"just tell me."

"cho miyeon."

I stopped eating and stared at yuqi blankly, there is no way my toxic ex girlfriend is my current roommates. Friend.

Not like it's impossible, it's not likely either.

"soyeon?" I heard yuqi say to catch my attention

"yeah?"

"are you okay?"

"yeah, just fine."

There was an awkward silence for a while, till I spoke again.

"can you show me how she looks like.."

"that was sudden."

"I know, I just..." I took another bite of my food "I need to make sure of something."

Yuqi nodded and went back to eating her breakfast

We were sitting peacefully on the couch and I decided to text soojin, since I haven't updated her about college.

I've been a bit busy
I couldn't text much
College had been decent enough
And by that I mean I ditch classes daily
Anyway I hope ur doing well

After I texted her, I remembered that I asked yuqi to show me miyeon (her friend)

"so like... About miyeon." I said

"hm? Oh yeah, here's a picture of her."

She handed me her phone and my jaw dropped to what I saw.
