Y/N had been told she was going to be loaned to Liverpool to her horror. She knew her last game was going to be tonight and she would have to make the best of it.

Y/N had made it into the final of the Spanish Domestic Cup which was going to be her last game for Madrid for now much to her dread against Barcelona. She was starting as a LW tonight which she doesn't do often.

Y/N was passed to off the kickoff which she immediately went and outpaced the left back running down the wing. She then cut inside and passed it to the striker who barely missed the shot. In the 17th minute, Barcelona's RW crossed it into the striker from the wing and it became 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Barcelona had a free kick from the edge of the box after a strong tackle from the CB. They shot it into the top corner and it was in, 2-0.  HALFTIME. Y/N knew she has to step up, and so she did in the 42nd. As she received a pass from the opposite wing, she had dribbled past the Barca keeper and finished it into the open net. In the 68th minute, Y/N passed a ball to the striker who finished it into the corner, 2-2. Nothing happened in extra time or the last minutes of the match and it came to Penalties. Barcelona slotted their first pen into the right bottom corner. Y/N was now up for her penalty which she shot powerfully down the middle. It was even until 3-3. Barcelona's penalty was saved but Real Madrid's was also saved. Barcelona missed their last penalty and shot it over the bar, Real Madrid then stepping up with Y/N waiting anxiously in the huddle.

                Y/N POV

As I sat anxiously in the huddle, I was praying on my knees that my teammate scored. As my teammate stepped up to the spot in mini steps. As her boot touched the ball, it rocketed into the top right corner as I began celebrating with my teammates dog piling on each other. We had won  probably my first ever penalty shootout, beaten Barcelona, and won a trophy. Y/N cried into her shirt on the ground, knowing she would have to wait a year to do this with this exact team. She knew she was coming back, but a year is a long time for her. Marco had already been told but Jude not yet, he would be devastated. Y/N knew she had to tell him today and so she did. As she was told goodbye for now by all of her amazing teammates, she went to her bed and slept in Madrid for one of the last times.

don't worry, the loan will probably be shorter chapters. I also promise I will start updating way more after about a day or two. I have been hanging out with my dad who I only see every about 2-3 weeks so I'm trying to make the best of it. thank you for reading and I love you all! as always lmk suggestions in comments or my feed ♥️
