As I woke up in a cold sweat, my head was spinning trying to think of who was in the dream. The only thing I could see was a blank face. I could feel his hands touching my wings, it was almost scary how vivid that dream was. Almost like a vision of the future. I felt the carriage come to a stop, and I sighed, pushing the dream out of my head. I opened the carriage door, and the footman actually helped me down this time. I was confused until I saw why. The king and lady kirsi were standing at the front of the palace to greet me, with a handsome stranger standing next to them. The stranger caught my eye as I bowed to the king. "Hello, your madgesty. Thank you for greeting me". The king laughed out "no need to be so formal, lady leola. We've known eachother our whole lives. Our fathers even used to be friends!" I smiled, as this was true. When I was just three years old, my father had brought me and Beatriz to the palace. The three year old Beatriz had tried to flirt with the four year old king, who completely ignored her while he and I went to search for frogs in the palace gardens. We had been screamed at by our fathers when we came back covered in mud, while Beatriz cried that we left her out. I glanced at lady kirsi and smiled, and she smiled back. She was truly beautiful. I had never met her before, but everything I had heard about her was positive, and she seemed nice enough. The king looked back and forth between us, and then looked at the handsome stranger "by the way, lady leola, this is Norrix. He's the palace mage". As the king said this, the handsome stranger, now know as norrix, stepped forward and bowed "it's a pleasure to meet you, lady leola".when norrix said that, a slight hint of blush formed on my ears. "It's nice to meet you too, palace mage norrix" I said back. the king smirked and gave me a knowing look.
