A wise man once said
'Make the days worth remembering.
With the same force that keeps grabbing on
to the old days that we have not forgotten'.
They say, It's all in the past and you - Must - Let - Go. but how can I, when this... unleashed... hatred is still bottling inside my heart. And it burns, I swear, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't just...let go.
Even revenge can't put out this fire. I've tried it before.
I wish someone could pull me out of this heated cage I put myself in. It's worse than the curse the moon has put on me. A cage of my own mind.
When I was 10 years old, I thought the world had finally come to an end.
The usual peaceful Island was burning like a projection of hell itself. Creatures were running and hiding. The Fairies try their best to dispute the fire and The Forest army try to find the culprit by the order of the leading Fey. Many caught on fire and panicked around which led to some parts of the forest to burn even more. The screaming was loud from all around.
"Finish the fire before it reaches the Nest!" Forest Fey Leader shouted at the top of her lungs, using her Chlorokinesis magic, common magic for all Fey, to summon plants away from the fire. Her rainbow wings carefully flapped in a way that wouldn't make the fire burn heavier than before.
"Finish the fire!" Repeated by other Feys around her.
The Nest is the center of Moors where all types of Fey keep their young children. It is also the center of this country's power.
"The Crown Princess and young Prince are missing!"
I was supposed to be with my mother around the Jungle biome inside the Nest. But I strayed far away from her while she was napping to look for a waterfall, not realizing that my baby brother who's only a few months old flew after me the whole time.
After we played in the waterfall, my baby brother went into his baby napping. I carried him in my arms to fly back to mother, but before we could meet her, everything went into Chaos.
"We're here!" I let out a scream again and again until a Fey soldier flew toward us. Him and I are almost the same size even though he was a full grown adult. Afterall my mother is a Giant.
I followed him to the Royal shelter, still carrying Eric, my baby brother in my arms. who is still unaware of everything that happens around us.
When we arrived, an even more terrifying news was announced.
"The king and queen have been captured!"
It must have been my fault...
No... it is my fault
My mother must have been very scared looking for us and she must have told dad that we went missing.
I must help them somehow...
The chaos, the capture of her parents, she feels the weight of it all on her young shoulders. The guilt gnaws at her, painting her as the catalyst for the kingdom's woes. Yet, Lunika's spirit won't waver. With a resolve to set things right, she seeks a way to rescue her parents and reclaim her shattered sense of responsibility.
"Crown Princess!" People around me shouted in panic. Why?
"Crown Princess!" the sound of their screaming slowly fading.
"Crown Princess!" The shouts turn into cheering. What is happening...
"Crown Princess! Crown Princess! Crown Princess!"
Finally being able to wake her up from daydreaming, her teammates sighed heavily, wiping sweat from their foreheads.
"Stop shouting! relax, we won't lose. Trust me." Lunika snickers playfully, she forces the corner of her lips into a smile. like she usually does, always a grin on her beautiful face. Her powerful white wings flapped behind her. So strong and loud, you can hear the impact those wings have on the air around her.
They were in the middle of an Air ball match. A popular sport in Moors. a pretty advanced football game where players must fly to kick the ball through the opponent's hoops, there are 3 hoops for each team and each hoop gives different points. 3 rounds for each team to play offense while the other defend and vice versa. 1 round equals 1 turn of the sand clock which is around 5 minutes – players soar through the skies, wristbands suppress magical abilities for fair play, and a stunning display of athletic prowess fuels the spectators' cheers. Lunika's band is a bit special since it can also reduce her size to be closer to her teammates.
Moors is a country famous for its rare magical crafts and mysteries. Which Lunika is very proud of.
A ball made of boar skin was sent her way, she caught it with her chest and kicked the ball towards one of her teammates who is closer to the highest hoop which gives the highest point.
After being able to catch the ball, her teammate was surrounded by 3 opponents. They blocked him from all sides. And unexpected to them, he just let the ball drop towards the ground, but there's nobody down there to catch it!
His team could receive a penalty!
Before anyone can react, suddenly there's a loud bang! The ball went through the lowest hoop which gives lower points than the highest hoop but higher points than the middle height hoop. And the crowd cheers.
It was Lunika, she dipped down fast and sent a powerful goal!
The crowds of all types of fairies in Moors that were sitting on the lifted amphitheaters cheered her name loudly. It fills the sky of Moors.
Lunika leads her team with great tactics. Sending goals after goals. The final round was on, the other team tried their best to catch up, the last whistle was blown, the winner of the game was announced by an elderly Forest Fey.
"Moonlight Army won 4 : 2 , line up and pay respect!"
Moonlight is the name of her personal army as the crown princess. This sport event was organized to strengthen the relationships between the army. The opponent this round was sponsored by her uncle, Henry, and led by his eldest daughter, Beatrix.
They stood opposite to each other, Lunika gave her cousin a bright smile while Beatrix forced out one. She has been compared to Lunika by her father since she was young and she never understands to this day why he would do such a thing. Her sister, Lunika is a crown princess while she is just a lower ranking from secondary bloodline. However, it was eating her inside, She is envious of her sister's brilliants. And today she thought she was going to prove her inferiority wrong.
She trains really hard for this. She even endured the crudeness of those soldiers and trained with them to make sure she could win. Her determination to outshine Lunika has led her down a path of relentless training, while Lunika's bond with her team is built on years of trust and camaraderie.
Lunika's prowess, both as an heir to the throne and an Air ball player, is showcased in full glory. Her confidence radiates as she rescues her teammate's blunder, demonstrating her agile prowess by sending a powerful goal soaring through the hoops. The cheering multitudes of fairies witness to her skill, a microcosm of the realm's admiration for their future queen.
Something was churning inside her stomach and she didn't like this feeling, Beatrix thought to herself. The love and respect she has for Lunika slowly turns into something else, something that isn't all too foreign to her, Jealousy. If only she was born first, what Lunika has, shall be hers.
