Amidst the sun-dappled streets of Crestwood, a friendship was quietly taking root, weaving its tendrils through the hearts of its young inhabitants. But like any tale worth telling, the story of Charlie and Hendrik's friendship began not as a solitary thread, not as a solo pair but as part of a greater tapestry.

Long before their laughter echoed through the halls of high school, before secrets were whispered beneath starlit skies and before all the unannounced drama, there were three: Hendrik, Katie, Isabella, and a void waiting to be filled. Within the realm of childhood innocence, they shared giggles and dreams, as the bonds of camaraderie tied them together. Yet, within the foursome, Hendrik often felt like a shadow - a quiet observer to the radiant camaraderie between Katie and Isabella. Sometimes he wondered to himself if the only reason he's friends with them it is because he was desperate and that he wanted to belong. It was never easy for Hendrik to adapt to this new place filled with new faces. Sometimes Alexa and Issabelle would ask themselves why Hendrik always seemed sad a depressed and if he was really happy where he was in his life.

Then, with a serendipitous twist of fate, came Charlie.

Charlie slipped into their lives like a missing puzzle piece, bridging the gap that Hendrik had always sensed, the gab that always made him feel as if he doesn't belong. First, it was Hendrik and Charlie who formed a connection. They were drawn together by the magnetic pull of the annual Creekwood Music Festival. Every year the people of Creekwood host a music festival, not only to commemorate music, but also culture. Amidst the strumming guitars and soulful melodies, they discovered a shared affinity for the same songs, a rhythm that resonated deep within their souls. It was in those moments, surrounded by the sounds of the festival, that the foundation of their friendship was laid.

Their laughter, the timbre of their voices, and the subtle nods exchanged amidst the music wove an unspoken promise of camaraderie. In the midst of the crowd, they found solace in the recognition of kindred spirits. Through the lyrics and harmonies that swirled around them, they began to discover the intricate notes of each other's personalities. Hendrik and Charlie laughed, danced and sang for hours even though they sounded like they were choking on food.

As their friendship blossomed, Hendrik's initial unease melted away. Charlie wasn't a wedge driving him further from the group; he was the bond that intertwined them all, weaving connections where there had been gaps. And so, the quarter of friends slowly shifted and evolved, the dynamics realigning, and the laughter becoming fuller, richer.

For Hendrik and Charlie, those early days at Creekwood were the birthplace of a friendship that would stand the test of time. They may have entered each other's lives as mere acquaintances, drawn together by music, shared interests and bad singing, but in the months that followed, their bond would prove to be unbreakable, weathering storms and transcending the challenges that life would throw their way.

Everything seemed like a fairy tale. The quater would always hang out every single day until the summer brake ended. From having calls that lasted till the early hours of morning all the way to hosting group events everyother week. Everything was perfect, or so we thought. In a course of a week, everyone's feelings changed from being  perpetuos and energetic to being a boring, sloppy mess.

Hendrik woke up one morning and decided that he will bring the group together so they can have a meeting to talk about what is going on between them. Hendrik decided it was best for them to meet up at the John's  local ice cream shop, he used to visit when he was hanging out with Katie and Isabella. He called them and asked them to meet up urgently. Everyone agreed to come and as they were coming Hendrik thought to himself, "it cannot  be Charlie's fault because we still talk everyday. Deep down Hendrik knew why they were acting off but he just couldn't bring himself to admit it.
As Katie and Isabella came to the ice cream shop, Hendrik raised his hand to come greet them and they looked so enthusiastic, but the moment they saw Charlie, the expressions changed from a lit up candle to a drained out light. It et as if they did not want to be here anymore, nevertheless Hendrik still greeted his friend and they sat down on the picnic table near the lake. After a few minutes of awkward silence Hendrik thought best to leave and order ice cream so they could talk.
As Hendrik left, Charlie could feel the tension between them and the girls as they glared at one another.

Hendrik came back with the ice creams and they all ate in silence, after that long awkward feats, Hendrik finally gathered up the courage so he asked them why were they acting weird with one another. Katie and Isabella didn't want to talk as they were afraid they would hurt his feelings, Soon after they gathered up the courage and started talking. "We know his motives and intentions" said Katie. Hendrik was shocked and asked what are his motives. He, ...he wants to steal you from us. Wow( Charlie says in a histerical laugh) , did you really think I would want to steal Hendrik from you guys. Hendrik is my closest friends and I've seen the way you guys treated him way before we became friends, in the music festival you guys completely ignored him and were together most of the time, did you guys ever stop to CO sider that you might actually be making him feel like a third wheeler and a after thought. I got so tired of that and that's why I spend more time with him than you guys and if I could save him from you, I would ( Charlie stops talking). Hendrik deep down didn't want to admit it but he always felt left out even more so now that the truth is revealed he still wants to stay friends with them. Hendrik never liked to see people fight that's why most of the time he  always used to let people step on him and ignores people red flags and flaws. Katie and Isabella were shocked and speechless as they realized how they have treated Hendrik so badly, then they asked Hendrik why didn't he speak sooner. He responds saying " even if I did, I joined your friendship and there was nothing I could do to change it" After a while of back and forward communication, Isabella and Katie apologized to Hendrik for making him feel that way and they looked really bummed and sincere on the faces so Hendrik forgave them. But what about Charlie, why doesn't he get a apology ( Hendrik questions himself in his head)
