I'm y/n y/l/n I'm a centre midfielder and play for arsenal academy u16's as well as England u19's I play up a year as the coaches at England decided I needed more of a challenge and that I would fit in well in the u19 setting. It is quite a jump going from u16's where I'm the same age as everyone to playing in a team where they can go drinking as well as drive themselves to training and camp, but I still need my parents to drop me off. I get called many names by my England teammates such as 'kid', 'kiddo','the child','tiny' that one I don't really get as I'm a lot taller than most of them as I'm 15 years old but still 5"11. They all look after me on the pitch it's nice we feel like a family.

I was sat in school waiting for the bell to ring for lunch, 12 o'clock, so I could go home and get ready for arsenal training. However my head of year knocked on the door of my classroom. " can have a chat with y/n please?" Oh shit what did I do? I picked my bag up and walked out the classroom. " your not in trouble I just need to have a chat with you about something in my office." Yeah right that's what they always say. He opened the door and told me to sit which I did all the while I kept my eyes glued to the floor.

" hi y/n" a friendly Dutch voice said. I looked up and sat in front of me was sarina weigman and Leah Williamson. Sarina held out her hand for me to shake which I did and also shook Leah's hand.

"Hi... erm what's going on?" I said my confusion clear, after all the England captain and coach was sat in my head of years office.

" 15 years old and playing in the u19's is quite impressive y/n" Leah spoke up.

" erm yeah I guess it is, I really like it in the team we're all very close and it's more of a challenge than u16's." I said still quite nervous and shocked about their presence in my school.

"Well I'm guessing your wondering what we're doing in your school." Sarina stated, to which I nodded and Leah let out a small laugh.

" I asked your coach to nominate 1 player from your team to have the opportunity to play for the England lionesses in a friendly against Australia, and he said how talented and hardworking of a player you are and chose you."

" oh wow... that's amazing, thank you. Yeah erm woah." I rambled shocked about how I got chosen despite being the youngest on the team.

"But the reason we came to tell you in your school right now is because the game is tomorrow at 1.30pm, so you will come with us right now to come get to know and train with the team then play the match tomorrow." I simply say their with my jaw wide open.

" so is that a yes?" Leah asked me while slightly laughing to herself about my amazement

"It is 1,000,000% a yes!" I beamed " but tomorrows a Friday I have school?"

My head of year spoke up and said " your parents and the school have already agreed to letting you go and have the day off as this is an amazing opportunity which you should be proud of."

" thank you all so much this means so much" I thanked.

" no problem but we should probably get going as you still need to meet the team before training." Sarina said.

"Come on then let's get going y/n" Leah spoke as she stood up to leave the office.

" but I don't have my boot or kit or anything I will need actually?" I suddenly remembered.

" we stopped off at your house and collected the bags your parents packed for you so there already in the car, kit is obviously provided and if you need anything else we can get you it so don't panic." Leah reassured me.

" thank you, let's get going then." I enthusiastically said.

" good luck y/n we'll all be watching you and supporting you when your on tv." My head of year shouted as I left the office. Yeah, no pressure. Me, sarina and Leah walked through the corridors and out the school not without some very shocked faces of pupils and teachers, but I did bump into my favourite teacher which when I told her the news she hugged me and said " I'm so proud of you y/n" and that she will be watching and cheering me on instead of teaching a lesson.
