Another fluff for you, just Harry being down and Draco realising just how much he's hurting<3

It had been a bad day, a terrible day to be honest, and Harry was at breaking point. Hermione and Ron had been arguing for the past week, Harry's nightmares had prevented sleep meaning he had no idea what was happening in most of his classes, he was behind on assignments, he'd failed his latest Arithmancy test and barely passed his Charms one. Plus, Dumbledore was still expecting him to be training to be an Auror in his free time, which he had very little of. It was safe to say Harry was physically, mentally and, thanks to some extremely strange thoughts of a certain Slytherin lately, emotionally exhausted. Today had been the last straw.

He was going back to his room to sleep and take a few days off from lessons until he could catch up on work and actually comprehend what was going on. He was breathing deeply, already trying to hold back tears, there was nothing directly wrong, but he was alone and stressed and unbelievably tired. Nobody could blame him for not exactly having full control over his emotions. Regardless of the reasons, the last thing Harry wanted right now was to run into someone in the corridors, so naturally, Harry did exactly that. As he rounded a corner he smacked straight into somebody else, both of them groaning with the force of it before stumbling backwards. Harry geld his forehead that had hit something hard, he looked up to see a very irritated Draco holding his chin, well that sudden realisation of height differences was rather embarrassing, and not on Draco's end. Harry scowled and was about to start walking again when Draco started speaking.

"I see you still haven't learnt to walk beyond the ability of a toddler, Potter." Draco spat and Harry sighed, he knew there'd be a comment about his mother coming next, he didn't want to hear it.

"I can't do this anymore!" Harry exclaimed. See, not only was Harry exhausted and stressed but he was also what some might call 'lovesick'. Recently he had been thinking about the dreaded Malfoy in a new and different way. And standing here now, Harry was painfully aware of how gorgeous Draco's startling blue eyes were and how soft his hair looked and how beautiful he was in pretty much every way. Now, the constant fighting with Draco wasn't just a physical or mental blow, but an emotional one too. He was sick of it, he could feel his eyes welling with tears and he took a deep breath, squeezing them shut to avoid any tears escaping.

"...not with you." He said finally, opening his eyes as a single tear fell down his cheek. Draco's expression softened, a sad look of disbelief and confusion dominating his features. He shook his head quickly before moving forwards, his hands cupping Harry's face and wiping the tears away.

"Shit, potter. I'm sorry, I don't mean anything I say, you know. Father tells me to keep a reputation, oh god never mind, are you okay?" Draco had been gathering Harry in his arms, Harry didn't object, even clung to him for a while before Draco pulled away, looking at him seriously, waiting for an answer. Harry couldn't believe what he was hearing. Draco only did the things he did because of his father? And he didn't mean any of it? Harry just stared for a second, in utter disbelief. He stared at Draco in complete adoration. Harry always wanted to believe Draco was a good person inside and now it was confirmed, and Harry couldn't possibly be more in love with the boy in front of him.

"Potter? Are you alright?" Draco took a step back now, scared he'd made a mistake, shown too much emotion, said too many truths, maybe Father was right, maybe it was better to be mean and rude, at least then nobody can hurt you. But Potter had a strange look on his face, a look that Draco interpreted, probably incorrectly, as love. Then again, Harry was looking at him the exact way Pansy described Draco when he'd gaze at Harry in the Great Hall. Wide sparkly eyes full of admiration. A small smile that reaches his eyes and a look as though he was completely lovestruck and off in another world. Then it occurred to Draco.

"What did you mean 'not with me'?" He asked suddenly and Harry appeared to come back to reality, his eyes focusing in on Draco's

"Merlin." Harry breathed dreamily, gazing at Draco like he was the centre of his world, the rarest, most beautiful creature he'd ever seen. Draco almost stumbled back, nobody had ever looked at him like that, he spent most of his time looking at Harry like that, he never expected the look to be returned.

"What?" He replied finally.

"I'm so bloody in love with you." Harry said with a huge grin on his face. Draco didn't even have time to react, never mind respond, as Harry grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him down into a kiss. Draco didn't object, just made a small yelp before melting into the brunette. His hands landed on Harry's hips as Harry's gripped the soft fabric of Draco's crisp white shirt, pulling him impossibly closer. Draco would deal with the creases later. They eventually pulled away, their looks now matching, both full of love and awe. Draco was the first to speak.

"Merlin."

"What?" harry breathed heavily, both boys slightly breathless from the kiss and its intensity.

"I'm in love with you too." They both chuckled, smiles reaching their sparkling eyes.
