Just to be clear, everyone in this story is 5 years older than they are in the movies, meaning Neteyam is 20. Y/n is 17, almost 18 in this story.
Enjoyy ^^
The weather on our island makes life worth living.
I took a deep breath.
And let it out.
Deep breath,
and let it out.
And again.
Even the air feels magical. I always felt extremely connected to the waters. Everything I needed was right in front of me.
But something felt missing. The empty feeling I got 90% of the time, even the waters couldn't fix.
But today..
Today was different. I could feel it.
I went over to the ocean, hoping that the answer would just appear magicaly. I plopped my feet in the cold morning waters, and sighed, immidietly feeling the connection.
"Y/n."
Damn, thanks for ruining the moment.
"Aonung?" I smiled as he approached me.
"Why are you up so early?" He asked as he walked over to me, putting his hand on the back of my neck.
"Fell asleep early. You?" I rubbed the arm that was on my neck.
"Morning duties." He sighed.
"Oh right, the future ole'eyktan." I smirked.
"That's right." He smirked back, as his hand went over to my waist, pulling me closer to him. "Future tsahik."
Right, I forgot to mention. Aonung and I were arenged for marriage since we couldn't even walk, and we have been together since I was 14 and he was 17.
I had a crush on him for longer than I can remember, and he has been a great boyfriend for the past 3 years. But still, I felt empty.
I put my hands around him, and kissed him. I let go, but he refused to pull back, so I just pushed him in the water.
"Hey, what was that for?" He hissed.
I laughed at him, but it faded as something appeared in the sky. "The fuck is that?"
He looked confused, but his expression immidietly turned into a sour one once he turned to look. It looked like ikrans. 5 of them, with riders.
We shared worried looks, before going over to the shore to see what's going on. They landed, and a whole family of na'vi started approaching the crowd that watched with the same curousity as us.
Rotxo came over to me and Aonung as soon as he saw us, and us 3 passed by the family, observing their features.
"What the hell, look at their fingers.." I laughed as I pointed to one of the boys hands. It seemed that he had 5 fingers instead of four. Weird.
"Is that suppose to be a tail?" Aonung mocked them with Rotxo when he saw their thin tails.
I looked up as I came across a taller na'vi. He gave me a soft look, and did the I see you gesture. I didn't return, I just observed his eyes. Looking into his eyes, I felt myself get hypnotised in them. It looked like crystal orbs. Snapping out of it, I just rolled my eyes and continued walking.
Aonung, Rotxo and I stood in the front, as Tonowari made way to see what was happening. The leaders exchanged the welcoming gestures, and started chatting. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Tsireya walking towards us.
