Yumie was outside, caring for the garden near her cottage on the mountain. Tianheng looked over the city of Liyue and smiled before going towards the apple tree and looking over the apples to ensure they were growing correctly. She grabbed a basket and picked the apples just right to be eaten while someone was creeping behind her and about to scare her.
"Don't even think about it, Kaida."
Kaida blows out a raspberry and looks at Yumie with a confused look. Kaida's long black hair reaches toward her back, and her purple eyes shine through her round glasses. Kaida was wearing a long, flowy dress with a flower pattern on it. "How did you know it was me?"
"I'm your mother. I know everything. Now, where have you and your sister been?"
"I thought You knew everything, Mama."
Suddenly, Kaida is tackled by another girl with a shorter black haircut and wearing a dark blue shirt and black shorts with boots and a few bandages on her hands. Kaida tried to wrestle the girl off, and the girl won the play fighting.
"Hi, Mama! You're looking more beautiful than yesterday!"
"Hello, Lilith. I'm going to take a guess you and your sister were trying to scare me again?"
Lilith smiled sheepishly before Kaida tackled her sister, and they started to play wrestle in the garden with Yumie smiling. Yumie puts the basket down and watches the girls wrestle together, proud. She went to Kaida and Lilith, picking them up, and they looked at her smiling before Yumie hugged them and kissed their faces, making Kaida and Lilith laugh loudly. Yumie finally let them go, and the girls ran off toward the Liyue port with Yumie about to follow them, but Lilith's snakes came out and hissed softly, letting Yumie know that they'd be okay.
Yumie smiles and goes back to taking care of the garden. Yumie was happy with her twin girls, who had just turned eight. She picked up the basket full of apples and went inside before putting the apples on the counters and going to her room, towards a little box. She smiles and opens it as she sees a simple Mora coin necklace and a silver snake earing before she touches them. She wonders if Aziel and Nicholas have been looking for her and their daughters. She missed them, but she knew she couldn't return just yet. Not without telling her daughters about their fathers. Yumie sighed and closed the box before fixing the vision on her belt and smiling. She has been protecting her girls from the Fatui, but little did she know that her girls will learn the truth about their fathers and the life of the Fatui, for Fate is a cruel mistress.
"Come on, Lily! We have to get the ruin for new materials!"
"Kaida! You know you can't run ahead of me! Mama will get worried again!"
