"Oh, hey Lavy! Nice to see you again!"

Lavender hissed and flexed her claws. She wouldn't let Midnight see her fear.

"Hi Middy!" she said with a fake smile on her face. "Long time no see."

Swift glared at Midnight with killing intent. "What the heck do you want?" she growled.

Midnight sighed and rolled his eyes, not phased by Swift's hostility in the slightest.

"Ok that's it!" Swift shouted. "What do you want Midnight? Why do you torcher other Pokémon ?"

Midnight's fur bristled and with an angry screech, he leapt towards Swift.

Swift screamed and smacked him in the face hard with a newly learned Double Hit.

"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK A GIRL!" she screeched.

"Uh, Swi?"

"Yes, Lav?"

"You're glowing!"

Swift blinked. "What do you mean, I'm glowing?"

"You're evolving." Lavender replied.

"Wait, what?" Swift began to panic. "No! No! No! I don't want to evolve!" she cried.

Lavender's eyes widened in fear as she watched her friend fight against the power trying to change her.

"Why don't you want to evolve chicky?" Midnight sneered. Swift growled and swiped at him with a paw.

"Don't you know that Ambipom is a lot stronger than a wimpy little Aipom?"

Swift's eyes narrowed into cat-like slits and she began pummeling Midnight with a combination of Swift and Focus Punch back to back.

"You stuck up little brat! Stop assaulting me with your crappy moves!"

"Hey! Don't attack my best friend you jerk!" Lavender screeched, jumping forward and smacking Midnight in the back of the head with a Shadow Claw.

"Well, now that that's over," Swift said with a small frown. "Now what do we do?"

"We take him to the others," Lavender told her.

Swift nodded and was about to open the door when that bright blue glow surrounded her again.

"Hey! Stop! I don't want to evolve!" she once again fought against the evolution.

"Swift...?" Lavender asked, staring worriedly at her friend. "Are you alright?"

Swift nodded, still panting from the excretion she'd just put her small body through.

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Ok then, let's go!" Lavender cried, and with that the two ran through the forest in search of the others.

As the two kept on walking with their captive in between them, they didn't notice that said captive was waking up.

That is, until Swift found herself being slammed against a tree.

"SWIFT!" Lavender screamed, frozen in horror as she watched her best friend fall to the ground with a sickening crack.

Midnight grinned cruelly as he turned his gaze upon Lavender. "Your next pretty kitty!" he said in a sickly sweet tone of voice.

"Oh no I won't!" she snapped back. "What the heck did you do to Swift?" she demanded.

"Oh that pathetic monkey? She's still alive, if that's what you're wondering." He told her with a frustrated huff.

"Why you little-" she was cut off by a wave of shadows and ice zipping right over her head.

Screeching in surprise, the purple-and-cream feline spun around to see what had happened.

By this point, Swift had gotten to her feet and was also looking to where the attacks had come from.

"Hey! It's Shadow and Frost!" Swift exclaimed. "Oh boy! And they look peeved." She remarked with a fearful expression crossing her face.

"Uh-oh." Lavender said in a small squeak.

"They're not mad at us, Lav," Swift told her calmly. "They're mad at Midnight."

"I just hope that Shadow doesn't go overboard," the feline quietly muttered as the two Pokémon watched as Midnight once again got the crap beet out of him for like the third or forth time that day.
