This was probably the latest Denny has arrived home. I chose not to question it already knowing my answer. He was walking up the stairs to take a shower, and just when i was about to follow him as usual i noticed his phone. His phone sat a meter away from me on the kitchen counter. Eyeing the phone, i stepped slowly towards it. I grabbed it and it displayed "ENTER PASSWORD" in bold. I froze up starting to think of any possible thing it could be. I tried his birthday then mine his parents, even his grandmothers birthday but they were all incorrect. An idea came in my head and i quickly typed it in and his phone was finally unlocked. Seems like he does care about our marriage but not enough if hes cheating.
His lock screen was a beautiful picture of me and his family altogether on christmas 2 years ago, it was an old picture but it was still nice. I quickly scrolled through his gallery for any evidence of him cheating like maybe a picture of him and Ania together. I give up after 5 unsuccessful minutes and decided to scroll through his messages. Whilst scrolling down i came across an unsaved number. I brought out my phone and compared his parents and sisters numbers to the one on the phone. The numbers didnt match. It had to Ania. My lips became dry and my palms began to sweat. I pressed my wet finger on the number and opened up the messages.

Other phone? What other phone? Has he been texting her secretly only another phone? The sound of footsteps chimed through my ears and i quickly locked the phone forgetting to take of messengers. The only thing i can do is pray that he doesnt find out i was on his phone. "Are you okay?" he asked "Yeah im fine." He gave me a quick peck and left to the dinning room to have dinner. I dragged my lazy feet off the floor and onto bed as i fluttered my eyes into darkness.
i woke up to someone shaking me awake in the middle of the night. "I forgot to tell you earlier but tomorrow at 6:30 we have a work party to attend because of an successful deal." To me he was just speaking gibberish as i was half asleep but i nodded my head ok and fell asleep again.

This morning was different from the others, i wasnt alone in this bed, Denny was with me. It was like when you mom forces you to share a bee with a cousin you dont like, you know awkward. It shouldnt be this awkward we've been married for 5 years now. I roll over to see the man who i am supposed to spend the rest of my life. I smile to myself and force myself out of bed.

Its been around 4 hours sonce since i woke up, Ive gotten Denny to go run some errands for the house. Now that im alone i can finally start looking for this burner phone. I run up and down the house searching in every corner and cupboard known in this house. I faceplant on the bed giving up. I'd settled for he took the phone with him to the store. I check my phone for any new messages from Sophie or Denny and i finally settle my phone next to me on the bed with an alarm on for 16:45, i dazed off into a much needed sleep.

The rings from my alarm were like explosions to my eardrums, i quickly press stop so i could put an end to the awful noise. Just as i was about to drift asleep again i remembered we had this dinner party to attend to. I basically had to drag myself out of bed to get ready. I chose to keep it simple and plain, a white dressthat sparkled at night. It complimented me in just the right way with a off shoulder long sleeve and it reached just above my knees to keep it classy. I had chose these most beautiful pair of heels to match it with, they were as white as pearls snd had straps that raced up my legs. "You ready?" Danny asked as he made his way to me coming out of the bathroom. "Wow, you look beautiful." he beamed, resting his hands on my hips. "So do you." I smirked bopping his nose playfully. He was wearing a black suit like the one he wore that night just that he wore a tie this time. We both made our way down to the car together as we drove of down the road. It wasnt that long of a journey as his work was fairly close.
We both exited the car together hand in hand like how happy married couples did. We always tried to make it seem like we were in deep love with people around but when its just us its one sided. We walked into the venue and were met with dimly lit lights and the smell of champagne filled our ge room. After all the serious parts, like the toasts, where done i made my way towards Sophie. "Omg hey Ali!"she speed walked to me and engulfed me in a big hug, obviously i huged her back. "Hey Sophie, i havent seen you in a minute how are you?" "Im good just playing with the twins at home you know keeping them busy whislt i try to get house work done." Sophie was also a stay-at-home wife, she met Evan (her husband) at a club once and they automatically clicked, its been 3 years since sue got married and now has 2 twin boys. "Enough about me how have you and Denny been?" "We've been amazing!" That was a lie. It was a struggle itself to sleep in the same bed as him and i found it weird to wake up to him in the morning. "You guys are so cute together!" "Thankyouu!" I replied. I could help but look over her shoulder to see Denny walking out and just as i was about to follow Ania followed behind him. I quickly remembered the burner phone, it's probably in the car! "Sorry Soph, i need to quickly use the restroom give me 2 minutes." "Its alright take as long as you need." I scurried down the stairs and into the car park. I remember earlier Denny had given me the keys because he had wanted me to put them in my purse. At first i struggled to open the purse because my nerves were sky rocketing right now but i managed and unlocked the car. I sat in the drivers seat and looked at the pocket on the door. Bingo. There it was, the burner phone. The phone i was running up and down the house for. Just as i was about to open it a loud knock rang through the car. I slowly looked up. My ryes widened in fear, there Denny stood looking right at me. I quickly shoved the phone deep into my purse hoping he didnt see it. He opened the car door "What are you doing in here" he questioned. "Oh i was just looking if we had any water here, they didnt have any in there." "Ok well we are going home now so could you come out so i can drive please?" I quickly got out and walked over to the passengers seat and sat quietly and waited until we got home. As soon as we got home i plopped onto the bed blacked out. I mentally noted that i needed to check out the phone wehn i next wake up again.
