★Lucie's pov★
It's the beginning of senior and Jeremiah is 1 win ahead of me, does that make me sad? No, does that make me infuriated? Yes
He and I have been at it since primary school when he first rubbed it in my face that he made the basketball team (when I didn't even make the netball team) and scored the most goals it got him a medal.
and when that happened I trained myself so hard for the rest of the year just so I could get on the team the next year after a lot of blood, sweat, and tears I DID IT and not only did I get on the team I got 3 medals for being too good ( actually I got them for scoring 5 goals and in a row as GA and for being a great team player and for participating) and all of that happened 10 years ago and this the last year of our little game and we all know I'm gonna win
I mean I have been training nearly every day of my life since then and if I don't win, I will shut out everyone in the world and sit in a cold black box until I die, I mean after I go on the world's worst date with Jeremiah Lamario because I uphold my promises even if I don't like it.
but let's forget about the past( not completely though) and focus on the present where I'm standing at my locker and my best friend Destinee is talking to me about some new hot basketball guy and I genuinely couldn't care less, ok I know that makes me sound like an asshole but the guys I like always go for Destinee and no I don't hate her for that I mean it's not her fault she so attractive
" wait they have tryouts this morning we should go watch them," she says so energetically making her beautiful blond lock bounce up and down "Sorry can't do that" When I say that her bright happy smile turns into a sad frown "Why not," she says in a sad baby voice " because Jeremiah is going to be there seeing that he is the captain and it's too early to see he's face" I say in disgust " 1 your like literary in love him 2-" " SHHHH people could be listening " I cut her cut " what's so interesting about us that people will be listening to our conversation and 2 I help you get some extra practice" she says shining her big blue eyes at me
" fine" I give in
★ time skip they change and are now on the court★
( just to let y'all know they have an indoor Court and there are like two like next to each other ok)
" ahhhh look at them" Destinee whispers to me as we enter the gym while she is too busy drooling over all sweaty boys playing basketball I'm searching for him and while I was doing that a ball rolls to my feet and a guy about 6ft with beautiful hazel and fluffy burette hair starts jogging towards me and I pick up the ball " hey I'm Joshua," he says " josh hurry up" someone yells and I turn to see who it was and I'm not surprised " oh it's you" " nice to see you too Jeremiah" " it's 158 to 157 and guess whose winning," he says mockingly " I have my next game on Friday so don't speak to me until then" I replied smugly " what? I'm really confused right now," Josh says.
" They have this sort of rivalry thing and they have had it for the last 10 years, it's like their own little game " Destinee explains to Josh "What are they comparing?" Josh asked "Their wins, so Lucie over here plays netball and has 157 wins and Jere has 158 just one ahead of her so the deal/bet is if by the end of senior year, Lucie has more wins Jere he has to buy her a car and if Jere has more wins than Lucie she has to go on the world's worst date with Jere" Destinee explains little more.
" Wow that seems like a lot," Josh says in shock "Yeah it is, and I have had to put up with it for the past 10 years " Destinee complains "Hey we're not that bad, " Jere says "You only think that because guys are you guys and us on the outside can see all the sexual tension" Destinee says " Destinee!" I say and hit her arm at the same time "Ow" "Yeah I see it " Josh says and Jere just glares at him "Boys hurry up, yall can chit chat at lunch" their coach yells "Well we got to go, see you later Lucie" Josh says to me then jogs off but before he did that he winks at me and when I tell I blushed so hard I mean I was a tomato, Jere saw that and he looks mad

Anyway y'all that's the first chapter hope u like it took me all day for some reason like I took a 5 hour break but whatever next chapter will be up by tomorrow
